Here for a wedding. Comfy big bed. Partner hated pillows. Good powerful shower. Plenty of room for bags and stuff.
Not very good lighting for shaving and make up in the room or bathroom but we managed.
Swimming pool and beauty salon restaurant, bar on site. No problem parking.
Recommended at great price for two days.
The carriage houses were great as we had 7 people to stay in a 3 room/3 bath cottage. It had a great common area space. The room furnishings were a bit dated. The bathrooms were updated.....except for the shower heads! Haha. the grounds, main house, pool, spa, both resturants were fabulous. Great English Manor retreat!

Sue and Martin made us feel very welcome at Downsview. Despite only taking over a couple of months ago they have grand plans to improve on the already well presented guest house. Our bedroom had lovely views over The Downs as well as the resident hedgehog! The cosy bar felt more like a living room and the communal dining area/ kitchette would have been ideal for enjoying a take away if we hadn't fancied a walk to The Old Mill (20mins) or the short taxi ride into Ashford. The breakfast at Downsview was delicious and great value. Only negatives were that the bed was on the hard side and the doors require slamming to close securely. That said we would visit again and recommend to others

We had a lovely stay at Frasers, we went for my sister in law's 50 Birthday afternoon tea, which was fantastic, the sausage rolls are absolutely out of this world. We stayed overnight, the room was lovely, and so quiet in the middle of the countryside. Breakfast was great and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended.
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Ashford a few times now as it's a good stopover en route from the West Country to Dover.
It's located close to the M20 motorway but would also be an ideal stopover for the Eurostar Ashford International station.
It's not far from Canterbury either so if, for some reason, you were wanting to visit but not stay in Canterbury, this hotel would work.
We didn't eat here but reception and bar staff were friendly & helpful.

Lying in the heart of Kent, Ashford is a growing, rural town approximately 90 km southeast of England's bustling capital. Shopping lovers can marvel at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet with its huge range of high-end stores. For a relaxing break, Godington House is a beautiful country estate and the perfect location to while away the time with a cream tea and a stroll through the gardens.
