Really unclear and no response to mails. After a call the helpful lady made arrangements to help us which was great. After a long and hectic day photographing for a Kent-based property developer, it was exactly what I needed to unwind and relax. The atmosphere was peaceful, the surroundings charming and everything was immaculately kept. What really stood out were the thoughtful little touches throughout my stay, which made it feel all the more special, it’s clear that a great deal of care and attention goes into making guests feel genuinely welcome. The breakfast was exceptional — the best I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, it was the ideal start to the day. The Five Bells is a charming Inn in an idyllic setting. It lived up to all expectations and the exceptional facilities and staff made our two night stay very memorable. The breakfast included in the price was absolutely fantastic and so filling we didn’t need to eat anything for lunch! The room was beautifully quirky with an open fire at the foot of the bed and a large bath tub next to it. There were tea and coffee making facilities and also a small decanter of port and some local fudge to welcome us, on arrival. I would suggest, for longer stays, taking a few hangers for your clothes as there were only two available to use (although I’m sure if we’d asked, they would have provided us with some extras). The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay special, especially Sonia who checked us in and gave us lots of ideas about how to plan our day. The room we had was over the bar area and so there was a little bit of noise but nothing excessive. If you wanted them, there were ear plugs provided but I found it added to the charm and made it feel very cosy.
