The GrovePark is a national treasure. We only wish to stay in the historic section and soak in the vibes of 111 years of presence. Any property 111 years old is going to have some issues; our initial room had toilet flushing issues but we were promptly moved into a new room without issue. When our new room lacked a hairdryer & microwave, a phone call promptly got us both. Zach at the desk was particularly helpful. We come for Asheville but also for the spa which we love. Any visit to the GrovePark should include at least one day at the spa. Courtney and Steve provided a great couples message for my wife & I. And the 80 minute facial was fantastic. We also enjoy walking the grounds and because the golf course was slow we walked the out perimeter.

We had a great stay at the Omni Grove Park with the family (2 adults & 2 kids - 7 & 13 years old) for Spring break. The hotel is located just a few minutes away from downtown Ashville which is very convenient. The property is beautiful, with amazing views of the mountains all over the hotel. We experience amazing sunsets! The hotel restaurants are great with plenty of options for relax or more formal meals. The lobby is beautiful, great to play board games with the family or have a night cap by the fireplace. The piano bar was also very fun for a quick adult's time! I just wish the hotel had an outdoor pool available to all guest (the pool area that you see in the photos is reserved for the spa guest and you need to get a daily pass to use it). Although it has an indoor pool, the experience is not the same particularly in such a lovely setting. Apart from that, great hotel for a family vacation in Ashville.

Strange the despite the high cost there were still major inconveniences - had to walk across the street to go to the pool, which means you have to walk back to hotel in wet clothes? Also, no hot tub open to guests. You have to pay a ton extra for a spa package, and again, you have to walk across the grounds to get there. Would have liked to eat at the sunset terrace but prices were so high we couldn't afford it - very embarrassed to have to leave the restaurant. I wanted to treat my family but ended up feeling out of place there. This is only for very rich people - but I still don't think even the very rich would like to walk outside, cross the street, down the hill to go to a very mediocre "sports complex". Disappointed that I spent so much money and didn't really enjoy myself. Very crowded, many noisy kids, room was just okay.

Loved staying here. The history of the hotel and famous guests was very interesting. We stayed in room 545 which we learned was the “Pink Lady” room. Made for an interesting experience!

Absolutely breathtaking! Clean, quiet, amazing views, beautiful walking trail. Sports complex did not disappoint, even found a peloton. Biltmore was 15 min away and is a must see. Room was large with a great view! Fun scene in the main lobby in the evenings with two gigantic fireplaces, live music, sunset facing outdoor dining, and board games/cards to play with families. Would love to visit during Christmas time!

Don’t think twice! Such a beautiful property. We just stayed at the hotel the entire time. Worth the price! Explore the hotel. Lots of things to see. And don’t forget to ride the elevator to the 3rd floor. You’ll see the old GPI lobby. Ask the concierge for the scavenger hunt sheet and let it be your guide. Enjoy!

First off I had issues from the get go with this place, as most hotels allow you to move your date if something happens and I got sick so I asked to move my date and they refused to allow me to move my date. So I guess they wanted me to show up sniffing, sneezing and coughing so I wasn't going to waste the 438 dollars I spent for 1 night. So I showed up, it does look nice but that's all this place has going for it. The bar was good and the bar attendance was nice 1. The elevator is super freaking tiny it fits at max 4 people and they really tried to fit more people in with a cart, if you are claustrophobic sorry but you will hate this. They have someone in the elevator to press the buttons to give you a false narrative that this place is "fancy" but in reality it's because the elevator is 100 years old and no one would know how to work it. 2. The room was extremely outdated The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, it was like sleeping on a pile of rocks. I hope you didn't come to a hotel for comfortable sleep because that isn't happening. You will hardly get a wince of sleep here. 3. While we where sitting in the room the fire alarm went off..twice...we went over to the elevator assistance to ask what was going on and she explained it was just a malfunction but no one called our room to inform us of this malfunction 4. There was still someone else's hair in the shower that wasn't mine... 5. The wall curves down near the toilet my husband had to squat to pee

But for the price they should have parking included and they need more organization with their registration lines : there is no signs or guidance it’s just a free for all and people who come later get checked earlier if they don’t notice the pseudo line that customers have made.

Driving up to the Omni Grove Park Inn is breathtaking. The building is stunning. As you pull up you will be greeted by a valet who will direct you where to park in order to unpack your belongings and having your items taken to your room. The valet system seems to work very smoothly on the intake. You will need to decide if you will pay $45/day tips for the valet service. Calling for you car is pretty easy. You text a number 10 minutes before you are ready to leave the building and your car will be waiting. This is a great convenience. For those on a budget, there are daily parking lots, $28/24 hours. Use your room key to enter and exit the parking lot. If you use a credit card, there is a chance for double charges since your will be automatically charged for $28 parking daily fee (assuming you don't use valet) The property is on a hill so if you are traveling with guests who might be challenged by the up and down of hills, use the valet service. There is a sports center which I didn't take advantage of and wish I had. There are shops on property to peruse, a mini market if you have a snack attack, and an audio tour of the property. Take time to explore the hotel and all the nooks and crannies. We stayed in the main stone inn on the 2nd floor. There is tiny elevator built into the stone along with an elevator operator wearing period clothing. The front desk staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and gracious. Don't make the mistake I made. This was a Christmas present trip for my daughter and son-in-law to get away for a long weekend. They LOVED everything! They stated the staff was friendly, their spa experience was phenomenal and the dining exquisite. The grounds and views are absolutely beautiful. They highly recommend! I’m already planning a trip for myself in the near future!

Concierge and bellman services were exceptional! Champagne was left in our room for us to celebrate our honeymoon, which was a nice touch! Until we were charged for it unknowingly when checking out… We were disappointed that there was no chance of utilizing the spa, but overall it was a positive experience.

We loved staying in the main inn this time. We also enjoyed the activity center for the first time! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and clean. Room service and The Edison were delicious.

Family Getaway
Nice stay at Grove Park Inn. The food at Edisto was delicious, and the Marketplace made a great White Chocolate Mocha. We loved chatting around the fireplaces, and the band was awesome musicians. The only disappointment was no breakfast buffet due to not enough people at the hotel on our dates. Also the mineral pool was down at the spa, but they gave a discount, which was nice. We are repeat visitors and look forward to returning!
