Romantic, quiet, cozy, your private, clean apt. And dog-friendly! Situated on lower level of our home in prestigious North Asheville. Breathtaking mountain views, surrounded by Pisgah Natl. Forest, downtown 10 min. away, Blue Ridge Pkwy just up the road.

This large 900+sf guest apartment-suite includes high-speed Wi-Fi, 1-bdr (king bed)/ bathroom en suite), custom kit., bkfst. area, living and office area, walk-in closets, laundry, bike "parking", large patio, loveseat > twin bed (for your +2).

The space
Come experience Asheville staying in our lovely retreat.
Guests enjoy a tranquil environment with private entrance to separate apartment-suite, as well as use of entire large slate patio with table and chairs. Enjoy long-range views from pergola in our yard.

This spacious 900+sf guest apartment-suite, is complete with 1-bedroom & bathroom suite, large walk-in closets, separate laundry room, office area, and well-equipped, custom gourmet kitchen with all amenities, including granite counter tops, coffered ceiling and new appliances.

Enjoy breakfast and other meals in kitchen area, or when weather permits, on the patio outside. Or relax in living area watching your favorite cable TV or Netflix program. Second TV in bedroom! Free high-speed dedicated Wi-Fi is provided as well as central air and radiant-floor heating!

Traveling with a 3rd guest? New convertible loveseat in living room pulls out to a twin bed.

Head up Elk Mtn. Scenic Hwy. straight to the Blue Ridge Pkwy (on bikes, by foot or by car), or head downtown to breweries, awesome restaurants and more. Don't miss the RAD (River Arts District) for gorgeous art and shopping.

Our place is entirely private; separate entrance and thoroughly cleaned using antiseptic cleaners on all high-touch surfaces, including kitchen appliances, counters, faucets, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, etc.

Guests enjoy private parking on premises with private entrance to separate apartment, as well as use of entire large slate patio with table and chairs. May also use pergola in yard for taking in beautiful views.

The most fabulous place to stay in Asheville

Everything was wonderful. The hosts greeted us, made us feel at home, made themselves available to us, and were delightful people in general. The apartment was not only fabulous, it was immaculate. There was so much space, I could easily live there. The location was wonderful. We enjoyed all the beauty of staying in the mountains with only a short trip to town and all of the fun that entails.

Great place to stay in Asheville

This was a roomy, quiet and peaceful place to stay, whether in Asheville for vacation or otherwise. The hosts are ever so helpful and the rooms and yard are wonderful for relaxation. The location is close to Grove Park Inn and convenient to all things Asheville.

Ashville mountain retreat

This one bedroom property was absolutely wonderful! Private entrance, fully appointed living area and kitchen. The owners were able to provide an extension cord so we could plug in our hybrid vehicle! Beautiful grounds and views - this was better than a 5 star hotel. Very convenient location to downtown Ashville as well as grocery stores.We are definitely going to be back!

This lovely apartment is clean and comfortable. Everything you need is supplied- even a white noise machine is available. Dennis and Valerie are very kind, personable and helpful, but they also respect your privacy. Lovely views around the home.

The Perfect Getaway

This property is located on a beautiful winding country road in North Asheville. It is attractive, comfortable, and very private. Downtown Asheville is easy to get to and minutes away. And our on-site hosts could not be friendlier.

Spacious, clean apartment; friendly, welcoming hosts

I stayed at Elk Mountain Escape for a week of part-telework and part-vacation. The unit was perfect for both. Quiet with beautiful scenery. Downtown Asheville and Asheville attractions close by. Blue Ridge Parkway also close by. The hosts, Valerie and Dennis, go above and beyond for comfort and convenience. Kitchen cabinets and drawers are labeled with their contents. Robes and slippers are provided. The unit is spacious and very nicely appointed.

This was a wonderful property. The hosts were very friendly and offered suggestions of what to do in the area. The apartment was close to town but still in the mountains and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Asheville.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful vacation rental, and it exceeded all of our expectations! The location is simply stunning, nestled in a serene environment with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. It’s the perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature’s beauty. The property itself is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Every room is tastefully furnished, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. Our hosts were wonderful and attentive, providing us with great recommendations for local attractions and dining. They made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and were always just a call away. Exactly as advertised, clean, spacious, great location 15 min to downtown Asheville and easy access to the route to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Hosts were superb. Will stay here again.

Perfect Tranquility

I absolutely loved my stay here. Valerie and Dennis were amazing host. The communicated and gave me recommendations for local restaurants, breweries and hikes. The place was immaculate and had everything I needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in on vacation. The view from the patio was breathtaking. The Blue Ridge Parkway was easily accessible from their home; a must see. I highly recommended this stay to anyone wanting a little tranquility and yet close to everything Asheville has to offer. I cannot wait to go back!

Asheville gem!

My husband and I stayed with our dog in this lovely hillside home in Asheville for a week and loved it. Everything is top notch inside the spacious apartment that has lovely views and a beautiful green space with sitting areas outside. The hosts are the most welcoming and interesting we have ever had! Only about a 10 minute drive to downtown and the Biltmore. We were very comfortable and will make a point to return! Thank you Valerie & Dennis

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay—the apartment was fantastic with beautiful mountain views and incredibly warm and helpful hosts. They are long time Asheville residents and are so helpful with recommendations for whatever you need—the best restaurants, hiking trails—you name it. And the location is in North Asheville, close to major attractions such as the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn and more. Not to mention that you not only have a great view of surrounding mountains, but you are staying in a private home situated about half way up a mountain, with a view of downtown Asheville’s lights at night. So lovely!

Best Stay in Asheville

This property deserves 5+ stars. Definitely one of the best stays through VRBO I have ever booked. The location is spectacular. It’s about a 10 minute drive to downtown Asheville, which I personally prefer. Weaverville is a high end bedroom community of Asheville, so extremely safe area. The hosts at this property are truly amazing. They are great communicators, and have thought of every detail. They offered restaurant & hiking recommendations, along with numerous other info about the area. The actual apartment was fabulous. Plenty of room, and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with every type of pot/pan/utensil/glassware one would ever need in a rental property. And EVERYTHING MATCHES!!! So many rental properties just have a hodge-podge assortment of whatever the host no longer wants to keep in their own home. I appreciate the regard of having matching West Elm dinnerware. The host even provides higher end dish and hand soap. It’s those type of details I so appreciate in a property. The linens are also particularly well thought of. The bath towels are the quality of high end hotels, and the same can be said of the bed linens. And the bed…just wow. I actually slept better on this mattress than I do on my own mattress. It made me want to research the brand(Muse Sleep), and I WILL purchase this mattress in the future. Quite honestly I slept better at this property than the Four Seasons. It’s just that great. Simply perfection. Truly home away from home.

Mountain Vacation

We enjoyed an amazing vacation here. The apartment was very clean and everything we could possibly have needed was thought of. Very pet friendly and accommodating and even some special treats for our dog were waiting for him. Our hosts Valerie and Dennis were very warm and friendly and made sure all our needs were met. Very private setting. The location was close to town, the Grove Park Inn and tons of great hiking nearby. We enjoyed sitting outside every evening admiring the beautiful views as the sunset. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely Wonderful!

What a relief to walk in the door of this charming garden apartment! I live in Asheville and had to stay in multiple rentals due to extensive water damage in my home. Valerie and Dennis graciously accommodated my last-minute request and could not have been more responsive and kind. The unit was immaculate, just as pictured, very private, and with stunning views and high-end touches that made me feel pampered. It’s rare to find a rental where I haven’t needed to spend time cleaning. Valerie and Dennis’s high standards were apparent and much appreciated. And I was so grateful for the dog treats, bowls, and covers for the furniture. My stay turned out to be a much-needed and welcome respite during a stressful time. Relaxing getaway with mt views

We enjoyed our time at Elk Mt. It was quiet, extremely well stocked with everything we needed, stylish modern decor and a comfy bed! The outdoor area was nice especially when it rained and we could sit under the porch and drink our coffee. Location was perfect as you felt close to nature yet close to downtown/stores/dining.
