The property and location are just as described and we loved feeling like we were secluded in the woods but close to town and lots of things to do. We went to two breweries, took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, saw several waterfalls. We also enjoyed watching the bears eating acorns while we sat on the deck. House is really nice and well kept. My amazement of using touch lamps again took me back to when I was a kid. Has a really nice view looking over the valley with a large back porch. Just be prepared for the ride up the side of the mountain to get to the house. I found it to be exciting and really lets you know you are staying in the mountains. Reasonable rates, clean and comfortable. The owners, Rodney & Katie were very kind and responsive to our questions. The location was perfect for us, literally a 15 minute drive or less to everything we wanted to see in and around Asheville. Great wintertime views of the surrounding mountains. As mentioned above the house was immaculate and the guests were great. We toured the Biltmore mansion, road the Blue Mountain Parkway (hiked and saw a couple waterfalls) and experienced the historic district as well as the western (Artsy) areas of Asheville. The highlight was seeing a family of 5 bears no more than 10 feet from the house ! Would definitely recommend this place for others ! ##### Brenda S.
