The living area was large with plenty of seating options, and the beautiful kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Our kids enjoyed eating breakfast at the kitchen island while looking out at the mountain view. The location was great - easy to get in and out of downtown Asheville, and nice and secluded. It should be noted that the road and driveway are quite curvy and steep, which was like a funhouse ride, but a bit of a challenge for a rear wheel drive pickup. Owners left a full weeks supply of toiletries, paper products, coffee, spices, etc., and were timely and responsive when we had to reach out during our stay for an internet issue. We saw bears! Which, for us, was a treat…..and while the road up to the cabin is paved and manageable (we had a Subaru Outback), it is steep, narrow and full of potholes. Just go slow and you’ll be fine. So close to everything and yet so mountaintop with the full cabin vibe. Bet the fireplace is amazing in the fall too with those big picture windows and screened in porch! Well organized, everything you need to prepare meals, plenty of paper products, laundry detergent, etc... Many VRBO owners could take a lesson or two from these owners. We would definitely stay here again. Driveway/road is tricky as you approach the cabin, steep incline is spots. Not for a low clearance vehicle. The property was as described in the listing and came well stocked. We saw bears right out of the living room picture window and wild turkeys on our visit. My only real complaint about the property, and the reason I'm rating as a 4 star, is access. The road coming in is very narrow and rutted out near the top. I absolutely would advise against this property if you're driving any thing less than an SUV or a truck. There is a decent chance you could damage your car. The property owner needs to work with their neighbors to have the road repaired for the benefit of all. I also wish the cabin was a bit more secluded. The neighbors are relatively close on either side. That being said, it's clear from the photos that this would be the case so we knew that going in. ##### John M.
