Jack's Retreat - completed Feb 2018! Our cabin provides a peaceful, private getaway in the mountains, but is still only a 23 minute drive to downtown Asheville. It offers 3 bedrooms (master on the main floor and 2 bedrooms on the lower level). The master bedroom has a king bed and the en-suite bathroom has a glass shower with a pebble-floor. And a big rain shower-head. The downstairs bedrooms both have one queen bed and share a "Jack and Jill" bathroom with a tiled tub/shower. The cabin faces south, so sunshine is abundant on sunny days and sunrises/sunsets can be viewed from the rockers and swing on the decks. The hot tub is accessible from the lower level deck - it sits out in the open; you can enjoy a nightly soak under the stars or savor the mountain views during the day. We named this cabin after our son, Jack, born 2014\. He played a big part in the building process. With all modern amenities, one won't need to leave the cabin, but the surrounding area has so much to offer to the adventurous at heart. Conveniently located 23 minutes to downtown Asheville (Merrimon Avenue exit off I-240), 18 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 24 minutes to Biltmore Estate, 20 minutes to Black Mountain, 32 minutes to Chimney Rock/Lake Lure and 40 minutes to Hendersonville, this quiet getaway is still close to all the attractions and activities. Sitting on the front porch in the rocking chair, drinking my coffee, watching the sun rise over the mountains was definitely my favorite….
