Pillows were like sacks of hard beans, the outdoor onsen was dirty and the food was clearly the worst I have experienced in eight trips to Japan. We were misled from the time we arrived, as we were told there were no restaurants in town. We later saw that was not the case. It was all a ruse to get you to buy dinner at their substandard restaurant. The whole building looked run down and smelt stale. I loved the onsens here … especially the mixed outdoor one at night. It had a nice vibe. It was walkable to 7/11 and other places in town. Parking was tricky in the evening, but managed to figure it out. The problem was the hotel is very old, the walls are stained and dirty. There was hair all over the tatami mats, not ours.The fridge had food in it from a past guest.
