They had everything we needed, plus some we didn’t even realize we needed. The outside was beautiful! The heated pool was so much fun for the young kids, as well as the teenager and adults. One of the best things was the fishing in the pond. The kids caught one fish after another. The adults caught only a couple, but only because they were so busy helping the kids with their catches. Another favorite was the animals. Loved when they came up to the fence, and had such a good time feeding one of the horses that came by each day. It was so much larger than I expected from the pictures and there was more than enough room for all of our family. The owners came by and introduced themselves to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us sugar cubes to feed the horses. The VRBO description and pictures were exactly what this ranch was. The house has ample space for a group and was as described, the rooms and beds were comfortable .it was so peaceful and the views were breathtaking, Sunrise to sunset. The pool was refreshing and fishing in the pond was an added plus. The game room was a fun place to hang out after dark. It is definitely a place we would go to again. Every one had a wonderful time. The house is set up perfectly for multiple families to have their own areas. While we didn’t have much luck fishing, we definitely enjoyed riding on the pontoon boat. We fed the horses and ducks every day when they came up to visit. There’s a market dollar store nearby for last minute forgotten items. The pool was clean. Views are gorgeous. We had a family wedding to attend and hosted the rehearsal dinner at this location. Our guests loved it. We used the bbq and Flatstone grill, swam and had great food and fun. Our kids and some of their friends stayed with us and there was plenty of room. Great kitchen and outdoor area. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house had ample space for us to spread out or sit together to enjoy a meal or watch a movie. We really enjoyed the pool and the pond. The ducks at the pond were super friendly and we could hear them “talking” all day. You cannot beat the sunrises and view! It was lovely! This is a really great place and a really nice house. Everything was updated and it is stocked with all the essentials you need. It's big enough to handle a large family gathering, with plenty of space to spread out and a great living room and kitchen for everyone to come together. We were there in the middle of a typical Texas Heat Wave so hanging out in the pool was essential. It has a very large back porch area with plenty of tables and seating. We used the Blackstone for every meal. The fishing pond was a lot of fun.We caught a few bass. There are a ton of big catfish in there but we couldn't get them to bite. Everyone enjoyed their stay. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tex’s Ranch, and it was an unforgettable experience! The house itself was incredibly well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, making it easy to prepare meals without a hitch. And let me tell you, the pictures do not do this place justice! The view of the pond and the valley behind the house is simply breathtaking. The pool area was a hit with the kids, and I appreciated the pergola with its soft lighting at night, providing a perfect spot to relax out of the sun. The dock on the pond was another favorite spot. We enjoyed watching the fish come up to eat when the feeder went off and soaking in the tranquility of the water. The owners, Tex and Deb, are one of a kind, ensuring we were welcomed and had all that we needed One of the highlights for me was the open spaces where my dog could run and play safely away from the roads. The large yard had plenty of room to roam, and the horses and longhorn cows added a unique charm that I loved seeing every day. To top it all off, we even spotted an eagle with a nest nearby, which was a spectacular sight. This property truly offers something for everyone to enjoy. It is located at the end of a country road, far from any highway, it provided the peace and quiet that I desperately needed to escape from my busy life. We drove in from Illinois for a family wedding and were able to get in the house early. The lake was wonderful and I caught the largest bass I’ve ever caught! The horses came to the fence and we enjoyed visiting with them. The house is secluded and quiet. It was just a short drive from the wedding reception.
