He served a very nice breakfast and made reservations for us at a great restaurant for dinner. The room was nice and comfortable. We had plenty of onsite parking."

The house seems to have about 5 suites, along with a number of indoor and outdoor common areas and a small pool. It is on a quiet street, but only a short walk to the Narbonne gate into the old city. "We stayed here for four nights to explore Carcassonne and environment. Montolieu is a charming artsy village with lovely bookshops and little streets. The place we rented was the first floor of the house with the owners living downstairs. They were extremely friendly people and really going the extra mile to make your stay most comfortable. The amenities in and outside of the house are plentiful: bowling alley, pool ( not heated though), outside kitchen .... certainly recommend this place to...
