The historic building on the shores of loch Lomond was peaceful and serene. The staff was great and even upgraded our room for free which was a real treat. We found it perfect to be honest, its in a great setting opposite the loch, you can get the ferries across if you want to. The room was a bit tired but it was quiet and clean. It might have some traffic noise but it doesn't bother me. I stayed 218 with a lake view. The bed was not too comfy but ok. It was an old castle. Seems outdated (not new) but clean. Also, I'm not picky. They make the most amazing breakfast during my two-week trip to Scotland and England. It was affordable too. Thanks to one of the staff members bringing me coffee at 5:00am when I sat in the lobby by myself.
