We loved our stay here. The property has incredible views of the mountains and we enjoyed our afternoons reading on one of the lovely terraces. In the evening the fire was lit and we had two delicious dinners downstairs. It is very easy to hire a guide to take you for a day hike and explore the mountains and local culture.

We loved Dar Imlil! It is set in a beautiful location, nestled in the mountains with an incredible view. The room was very cozy, and surprisingly big! The staff were incredibly friendly - from the moment we walked in, Hussein and the rest of the team were able to meet all of our needs (a guide for a hike, negotiating reasonable transport onwards etc). I would suggest if you need to communicate with them before arrival, through whatsap worked best - they werent responsive to the expedia chat. We will definitely be back!

The place was great. It was clean, warm, and the bathroom was spacious. I really have nothing to complain about. Great option and worth the little bit higher price compared to a few other options in Imlil. The bathroom was much nicer than the Riad Atlas Toubkal if you're comparing the two.

Dar Imlil - great local experience
The owner, Abdou, arranged taxi from Marrakech airport and was waiting on the street to meet us when we arrived. Great customer service from Abdou and all his team! Lovely guest house & good central location

Relax in the heart of the wonderful mountains
Dar Imlil made an excellent impression right from the booking with swift replies to e-mails to arrange transfer. This went without a hitch. The rims are impressive with views over the mountains and the terraces views over the village and of the river as it runs over a number of waterfalls right next to the property. The staff were amazing and we felt very welcome and looked after. The room was spotless and comfortable. We had lunch on the terrace in the sun and a day playing games around the fire so dar imlil is a great base whatever the weather. The food is great and tasty. We left with batteries recharged and sad to leave. The final transfer back to the airport also went without a hitch.

Massive suite!! Stone's throw from village centre.
We had a gargantuan suite, with separate areas for sitting at a table, the bedroom, watching TV, and a bathroom with a lovely big bath, and two balconies. Views in all directions were lovely or spectacular. The suite was clean, the telly worked, the breakfast was great, and there was a lovely warm fire lit for our comfort whenever we were downstairs. You're well placed for walking, hiking and the village centre.

Fantastic choice.
We stayed at Dar Imlil on the off season (Thanksgiving) and the hotel was pretty empty. As such the folks gave us a suite on the 2nd floor with amazing views. Can only imagine how lively and fun the hotel is during the warmer months.

Great Hotel for hikers
Hotel is in a very secluded town. Great location if you want to hike the mountains. Hotel is extremely peaceful and quiet. Rooms were a nice standard and very traditional. Very large comfy beds and generally large rooms as well. Wifi needs to be improved as it can only be accessed in the hotel lobby. There isn't much else around the hotel, so would definitely recommend dining at the hotel. Food is fantastic, value for money and really enjoyed the authentic moroccan dishes.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at Dar Imlil, which included being upgraded to the Superior room on our second night which was a wonderful surprise. Both rooms were comfortable with a small private balcony and very generous sized bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and arranged our transport to and from the Riad, and organised a half day hike in the mountains with our own personal guide and a packed lunch. I would highly recommend Dar Imlil if you are looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and charming in the heart of the mountains.

High quality accommodation with an authentic feel. Beautiful setting with views to the Atlas Mountains and the nearby river. Very very friendly staff. Felt like at home already the first night. The fact that we topped out Mt Tobkal the day after leaving was another bonus for us

Wonderful - little heaven!
We were staying in Dar Imlal for one night only, but it was amazing surprise. Left Marrakesh exosted after all city buzz and found wonderful little heaven. Rooms are very comfortable, ours had balcony, coffee/tea making facilities, water, tv, fridge. Staff just couldnt do enought for us - arrange wonderful dinner for two (with candles, napkins, table was served very elegant :) Hotel manager organised very good guid for 2day trek to Mount Toubkal, who looked after us with great care (Rasheed - well recommended guid, speaks briliant english and extremely supportive and friendly). If you arrive to hotel by taxi from Marrakesh, driver most likely will drop you in main car park - just fallow main road until its finihed , you will find little bridge at the end of the road, cross the bridge and on your right few steep steps up - you will find Dar Imlal!!! We definately will be coming back :)

Nice hotel in central location
We based ourselves here for 4 nights to do day treks. We had a large room with great mountain views, overlooking the small pool and right by the river which was in full spate. Staff were quite reserved but very nice and helpful. Dinner had to be pre-ordered by 4pm (as was fairly common) and the night we ate there we weren't very impressed at all. However, we spoke to other visitors who said it was better the following night so we might have been unlucky.

A true gem in the Atlas Mountains
We had a lovely time at this hotel. Indeed, of the 4 we used during our travels in Morocco, this was undoubtedly our favourite and I can't find a single fault to report. The service struck the perfect balance of being always helpful, friendly and efficient, but never overly ingratiating and invasive. Our room was huge, with a spacious bathroom and beautiful view. Everything about it was comfortable- plenty of storage space, great shower and bath, and good heating, while the decor was tasteful and appealing. We were delighted with the excellent wifi connection right in the room. A hearty breakfast was included and we also chose to have dinner there every evening. Each time, we were very well fed, with simple but tasty dishes and plenty of food. We went there in winter and really appreciated their cosy eating area. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Fabulous setting
Spent two nights here in a deluxe room - fabulous views of mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. Evening meal lovely and only 130 MAD for 3 courses which were different each night. Son climbed Toubkhal - conditions tough as rain up to hut and icy on top. Ideally should have had crampons so be wary of guide recommendations. He is an experienced climber but others seen on route not properly equipped. Riad arranged a transfer to Marrakech for us for only 40 euros (cost 80 on way up arranged through Riad there) and car much better condition. Hard to tear ourselves away!

Comfortable hotel in superb location
We enjoyed a relaxing couple of days surrounded by superb views of the High Atlas Mountains. The hotel offers a roof top area and large terraces and even a small swimming pool and pretty garden. A range of reading material was available in the common area. Room was very comfortable and even provided warm traditional garb if necessary. The bath room was spacious and an efficient hair dryer was provided. Staff were pleasant and always helpful.

An picturesque location and exceptional service!
We only intended to stay for 3 days, but loved it so much we stayed for 6 nights! By far, it was one of the most beautiful locations in Morocco. It felt so welcoming from beginning to end, with a beautiful room that overlooked the mountain and pool. The room itself was luxurious and the rate was amazing value for money. I cannot praise the staff enough for looking after us! If you are visiting Imili..this is where you should stay!

Well positioned hotel with great view from terrace
I arranged with the hotel for taxi pickup from the airport so had an easy access to it and a welcome mint tea and snacks on arrival. We were upgraded to a de-luxe room from economy and it was lovely with underfloor heating. The hot water was plentiful with good pressure in the shower. The dining room was snug with a wood burning stove at breakfast as well as in the evening and the food was very generous. There was information about local walks in the room and the staff supplied a pack lunch for us every day. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Lovely mountain retreat
Stayed here for two nights in September and it's a lovely homely riad with fab breakfast and great dinners if you choose to eat there. The staff are super friendly as are most people in Morocco and very helpful. The stay was quite expensive and it was a nice touch having all drinks for free and providing tea and coffee in the room. The room was large and warm as the evenings get cold!

Budget Hotel with luxury feel
A well priced hotel, with a friendly feel. Staff who make it there purpose to ensure your every need is fulfilled, from endless drinks to the right trekking experience. The meals were incredibly, from the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast to the four course evening meals. We never quite managed to finish! The views from our balcony were amazing and there were ample places to sit and take in the views or read a book.

Fantastic stay in the Atlas Mountains
This charming hotel was the highlight of our week in Morocco! The room was huge with a small balcony; super king size comfy bed, a drinks fridge, 2 sofas, Berber robes to wear to keep you warm, a massive bath - and best of all, the room was as warm as toast! The views from the room and the terraces were supurb. The staff are also really helpful; we ate there both nights and were very impressed with the food and the care. We will be coming back!

Idyllic mountain retreat
A welcoming and high quality hotel in an idyllic location. Staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything we needed was catered for. Food was delicious and plentiful - though it was a small place, we were carefully offered different menu options every night. The perfect place to get away from the bustle of Marrakech and spent some time walking in the mountains and appreciating the natural beauty of Morocco.

High Atlas Charm & Character With Helpful Staff
We split our time in the High Atlas among properties, and our stay here ranked highest due to the staff's attentive service and professional attitude. We stayed in a standard room, with wonderful bath and shower. Temps were quite cold in the evenings, but the room had great heat, and glorious mountain and village views from our own terrace! The breakfast was more than we expected, and the dinner menu offered several selections which you preorder as everything is prepared fresh. We had a tajine that we dreamed about throughout our trip, yes it was that delish! After departing we contacted Dar Imlil staff for travel advice, and Abdou and his team assisted us without hesitation. Wished we had stayed longer, and would recommend without hesitation.

Avoid... seriously!
This place was probably once very nice when it was first built; now it is just becoming run down and requires some serious investment, rooms are appalling, staff are rude and I would avoid the place at all costs. Its only redeeming feature is the pleasant 'courtyard' style garden/pool area.

Hotel elegant, cadre fantastique
