Beautiful historic building with big bedrooms. Close to centre of town, restaurants etc. Our room had a queen bed, lounge and table and 2 chairs. Plenty of room. Bathroom was large with plentry of room in the shower. The room heating was from a fan heater but was so efficient, I had to turn it down during the night. Pam was wonderful and helpful with recommendation for a restaurant that night for dinner. We'll be back.

Plesant stay at Lindsay House
We had a lovely stay at the Lindsay house. A very beautiful and tastefully built colonial house with a antic touch. Although, parking can get a little confusing as there was not enough lighting at night, we managed to find our way out by asking around. We arrived at 5.30pm and though there wasn't anyone to welcome us, they left the keys at the enterance in an envelope. We were hoping to at least say a thank you at the end of the stay, but noone was there throughout, even in the morning. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay overall.

Thanks for your review , I am sorry you had trouble find ing the parking and your way in , we are here all the time some guests run into us and others dont , most guests enjoy just checking in and out without us , also because guests arrive anywhere from 2 pm till sometimes midnight, 7 days a week, its hard to see eveyone, it works well , most of the time , Kind Regards Pam

Hi , WE are accommodation only , could you tell me where it showed on our site continental breakfast , we have never done breakfast since we bought the house 6 years ago , I think you have us confused with somewhere else !!!!

I booked the Harris room at Lindsay House through Expedia. It had a Queen sized bed and a beautiful bow window with a view. When we arrived on the day at around 4pm, we were told that the room had already been booked by other guests and that my Expedia reservation was not in their system. Initially we were told that we were out of luck, as the house was fully booked. Upon further checking, the manager found a smaller room with two separate single beds, a small window and no view. The room was unprepared for guests, as it was very cold inside. She was kind enough to bring in a plug-in electric heater and after some time it warmed up. The bathroom was extremely chilly still though. We paid a premium price for one of the better rooms but eventually got one of inferior class and with separate beds. When we complained through Expedia and asked for a refund the response was that we did get a room in the end, so they will not pay up.

Hi Miguel , Thanks for your reveiw!!! , Expedia contacted me saying that you didnt stay at Lindsayhouse as there was a mix up with the booking as it hadnt shown on my bookings for that day, so you couldnt stay here , which I twice explained to them that you did stay and that I had one room that I was able to put you in , I wished you had contacted me directly, as I find your comments very unfair , the room was prepaired, I just needed to put a heater in it , there is a differance of $15.00 in the room price due to it having two King Single beds in it ,I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO GIVE YOU A FREE NIGHTS ACCOMMODATION , in the Room you booked , I am at a loss to why EXPEDIA told me twice you didnt stay here !!!! the sad thing is now what I feel is a shocking unfair reveiw will help damage my bussiness ,in bussiness sometimes mix ups happen , and a little bit of understanding gos a long way , Regards Pam

A beautiful heritage building.
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. A beautiful Art Deco building decorated with period furniture. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Easy check in. Walking distance to the town centre, restaurants pubs and cafes. Highly recommend staying here if you enjoy heritage architecture and stepping back in time.

History and comfort
A very interesting place to stay, full of history and heritage. The door on the room we were staying was not as stable as would have expected and room was a little cramped - difficulty in finding space to iron clothes for the next morning. Bed was extremely comfortable and loved the tea room alcove that overlooks Armidale's Central Park.

It was a beautiful, historic home in need of some TLC. Well situated, charming home however the bins weren’t emptied, beds weren’t made up, the rooms had no noise insulation (could here every word and footstep).

We enjoyed our stay in this heritage beauty. The hosts were 'unseen', talking to us through the phone. i think covid-19 has derailed the host's confidence and the result was some difficulties navigating the property, which is not well signed or well lit for a self-service type check-in.

A delight!
This is a beautifully maintained, well run historic house. I stayed 2 nights in the Holmes @ Court room which was delightfully warm and comfortable. The location is really central. Overlooking a park, it is an easy stroll to the town centre. This is a great alternative for those who don’t want the bland motel style accommodation.

I felt very comfortable in Lindsay House. I enjoyed all aspects of its period charm. Pam was most welcoming and accommodating. While it didn’t worry me in the least, I did note that some small repairs would bring the House up to its sparkling best.

Lindsay House is a beautiful old heritage listed house filled with antique furniture that completes the experience. Apart from the modern amenities, it feels like stepping back in time. The House is beautifully maintained and gardens and outlook is outstanding.

We enjoyed our stay at Lindsay House very much. The ambience of the place is great, the room comfortable, the tea, coffee and biscuits provided super and all within easy walking distance of the town centre
