"A stunning view of the Douro valley. We had an excellent dinner. One needs to make reservations beforehand to eat there. There is nowhere else in the area to dine. We were not given a dinner option however, the roast beef dinner was excellent as well as the dessert. The car ride up is a bit sketchy because it’s a VERY narrow to lane road winding up a Mt !! However the view makes the trip most worthwhile. Bedroom was nicely decorated and comfy. "

"Our stay at Casa de Casal de Loivos exceeded all our expectations—and I say that in spite of some windy, rainy days! Bernardo was so gracious and helpful. Before we even arrived he was letting us know about road closures and provided directions for the best route. Upon arrival, our bags were brought in for us and he even volunteered to park our car. "Very friendly staff, my wife has mobility issues and we were allowed to park in the area for easy walking. The building itself was modern with awesome views. Very nice sitting area, pool for those who choose to swim. Large sunning area, breakfast was pretty good. The drive in from main road is an old track, slow going and tight."

"This is an old house, with some interesting history & furnishings. It is not a hotel, it’s a B&B, with 3-4 bedrooms and the owners live upstairs. The ( ensuite) bathrooms are very dated. The ( included) breakfasts are served at 9am, but the staff are very helpful and did provide breakfast earlier when we asked. "Cet endroit est tout simplement magnifique. Un peu difficile à trouver car c'est vraiment au milieu de nulle part mais rendu sur place, c'est un vrai havre de paix. L'endroit est entretenu à la perfection. On peut profiter de la piscine, de la petite rivière et des sentiers situés autour. "Casas de Campo was like staying at a B&B, the owners were so helpful and welcoming that we had some estate made Port wine and ate the grapes harvested by the grandma. The kids had so much fun in the bunk beds and in the pool. Thank you Jose & João"

"Spectacular B&B! The suite apartment was stunning, large and comfortable. Sparkling clean and also so beautifully decorated! The balcony has a beautiful view. The common areas are also amazing for hanging by the pool or grabbing a drink. The service was also incredible! Breakfast was delicious and very complete with lots of local charm. "
