Our sole reason for travel was to attend a Rangers game. The Wingate was perfect. The shuttle picked us up and dropped us off close to front door. Room was clean and comfortable. Great price for the area.
"One od the nicer La Quinta Inns we have stayed in"
After a long day on the road and in need of some rest we chose this hotel based on the reviews and the price.
I personally think it was better that the average rating that was listed, the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and tidy, the breakfast was excellent and the bed super comfy. The only drawback was we really wanted to soak in the hot tub for a little bit and could not as the pool and hot tub facilities were being updated. Oh well, overall a great hotel close to the freeway and the airport.

Having read lots of reviews on various places to stay near Globe Life Park we chose Comfort Suites Arlington and it was not the cheapest nor the most expensive but it offered convenience to parking, shopping, and good restaurants. It was easy to get to before and after the ball game. The staff was very courteous, welcoming, reservation were in order, and the room was more than we expected. It was very clean, spacious, bed was very comfortable, plenty of towels and wash cloths, parking was adequate, and a quite place to stay although close to I-30. Tried to make reservations for another stay at end of the month but because some event was taking place they would only take a two night minimum so we were disappointed and made reservations elsewhere at a lower rate about the same distance from the ballpark.

Guest services were all very friendly. The lobby was pretty nice, but the rooms were a little dated. I know they are remodeling so I'm assuming our room was yet to be remodeled. The bed wasn't very comfortable either - but I have back issues so it's hard for me to be comfortable. We went to the Rangers game the night we stayed. The rates were very high for the room/services you get, but the convenience of only a 5-10 minute walk to the stadium made the rates much more tolerable. The rooms were clean and did not have a lingering smoke smell or anything. Overall a decent stay, but high if you're not attending a Rangers game or utilizing the adjacent theme parks.
Located 20 miles to the west of Dallas, Arlington is packed with exciting attractions and activities. Catch a fly ball at a Rangers game or scream at the top of your lungs on Six Flags Over Texas thrill rides. If it's the offseason for football, take a tour of AT&T Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys call home, or spend a quiet afternoon examining the masterpieces at the Arlington Museum of Art.
