Welcome to a home designed for multiple families, larger groups, and retreats! This home features a beautiful chef's kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining spaces, a main level and basement living area, and great kids space over the garage. There is plentiful outdoor entertaining space on the tiered deck and outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake, and a stone pathway that connects to a sidewalk leading down to a double slip dock. Enjoy the beautiful views of Smith Lake from our home! The space This home sleeps a total of 22 guests, all in beds- we do not count couches or air mattresses as beds at this home! The layout of the house supports multiple families or larger groups, with several larger open areas perfect for kids and adults. There is a total of 7 bedrooms, 1 bunkroom, and 1 open flexroom that can all be used for guests to sleep in. Main level: \- Master bedroom: king bed, private en-suite bathroom, walk in closet \- Guest bedroom: queen bed, shared bathroom \- Guest bedroom: queen bed, shared bathroom Basement: \- Second master bedroom: king bed, private en-suite bathroom, walk in closet \- Guest bedroom: king bed, shared bathroom \- Bunk room: two sets of bunk beds (4 total twin beds), shared bathroom Second floor: \- Flex room: two twin sized daybeds (a total of four beds), shared bathroom. \*please note: this room does not have a door, and is open to the rest of the second floor. \- Guest bedroom: queen bed, shared bathroom \- Guest bedroom: king bed, private bathroom Amenities: This property has its own two slip dock in year round water- guests are welcome to bring their own boat (and launch at Duncan Bridge Marina, approximately ten minutes away by road) or to rent a boat locally and tie off on the dock. Additionally, our property only has space for parking for six vehicles. It was added to the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on February 24, 1976, and to the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1984. The stone and concrete models are the work of Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine monk of St. Bernard's Abbey, who devoted some 50 years to the project, the last three decades (1932 to 1961) almost without interruption. They incorporate discarded building supplies, bricks, marbles, tiles, pipes, sea shells, marbles, plastic animals, costume jewellery, toilet bowl floats and cold cream jars. Born in 1878 in the Kingdom of Bavaria, Brother Joseph was maimed in an accident that left him slightly hunched due to cervical kyphosis. He immigrated to the United States as a teenager, settling in northern Alabama. The house is 3 levels. Kids loved the water slide on the boatslip, clear lake water, kayaks, fishing off the boat slip and the lily pad. Adults loved common cooking/eating areas but being able to have their own family nesting areas. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with appliances, dishes, storage, and refrigerators on 2 levels. We are going back next year. Very clean, with a well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. Dock area was clean - lily pad was a nice addition. There is a 10/15 foot area before the lake that is a steep side walk, so be prepared, as it is not for the elderly or those with trouble walking. We were all late 30s to early 40s and struggled, but not enough to keep up from coming back! Already booked for next year! ##### Jonni M. It accommodated all of my family. They had a Christmas tree which was perfect because we visited during the holidays. They had every amenity you could think of. We were not far from a local store.
