After a long conversation providing our expedia reciept they finally accepted our reservation and we found the hostel mostly empty. Checking out early the hostel receptionist was not there to let us out for our per hop bus (possibly asleep somewhere). The (clearly marked, easy to find) location was great, close to historic area, there was lots of hot water (unlike two of the others!), the breakfast on the rooftop plaza--(which in itself is a nice setting with view of park below, volcanoes in distance and housing a thermosyphon) solar hot water system--was better than most, the bed (with nice down comforter!) was great. Most important, we were having other travel related difficulties and the management absolutely went out of its way to help at no extra charge! The female manager was nice and tried to be helpful with bus into but it's strange they don't already have some common info.
