We had 3 families with kids and there was so much to do (hiking, fishing, paddle boating, even feeding a variety of animals). Located centrally enough to easily get to a variety of locations around Asheville. We did a lot of cooking and kitchen was stocked and had a huge table for all of us to gather around. The owner is very nice and receptive to concerns; he even set up a Christmas tree for us as we were here over the holiday. Only minor complaint is house is a little dated downstairs with the heat only partially working which keeps it pretty chilly. ##### Brice A. We loved swimming in the lake and hanging out on the dock. Just 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. The house isn’t modern fancy but was super comfortable and clean. It has a great open living area with a well equipped kitchen for large groups. We loved the screened porch. Full disclosure - the house is on the direct flight path for the Asheville airport. We all enjoyed feeding, petting and listening to the animals kept nearby. The home was spacious and updated and everything we’d hoped for. The kids loved swimming in the lake and riding in the paddle boats and canoes. All in all, the perfect place for gathering and enjoying our family! ##### Kris G. This is our fourth VRBO rental and it easily accommodated all 14 of us. There is a lot to do on property, and an amazing array of things to do all around Asheville. The kids really enjoyed the paddle boats, the chickens, ducks and bunnies and the tire swing. We walked and jogged around the lake. The owners are very friendly and available though we had no needs. My grandchildren had a wonderful time swimming, boating and fishing! There was so much to do to keep everyone busy! Within 1/2 hr or so of hiking, breweries and downtown Asheville! Lake and hot tub were in constant use. More chairs needed near lake for lounging, so we brought our own.
