We stayed here for two nights on our trip and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Parador is located at the very top of the town and has a commanding view of the countryside from its restaurant, terrace, sun deck and some of the rooms. We opted for one of those balcony rooms and it was a wonderful choice. The room itself is large and well appointed. Large bathroom and great storage. We both found the beds a tad too hard for our sleeping preferences, but the view when you woke up was more than worth it as a tradeoff! Reception and service was outstanding the whole time. Cabs are easily reserved to get up/down to the central newer part of the city where the bus station is located. We don't recommend trying that walk if you have any kind of luggage -- probably 30 minutes straight up hill! In terms of location you are at the top of the hill and at the center of the historic town so everything is within walking distance -- up and down the hills. Definitely be ready with good walking shoes in this town! There are some wonderful alleys and small streets on both sides of the town center to walk through and explore and get a sense of this White Village as well as a long trail (11km) that is available at the base of the hill that follows the river.
