The rooms have been upgraded and are now much more pleasant. Shower is hot and powerful, and the windows actually open a bit – unusual in chain hotels. Staff are friendly and helpful. The one thing I regret is they closed the restaurant, which was always so convenient. There are a couple of places over the bridge next to the cinema which we have used: the Au Bureau bistro is always full and has reasonably priced, delicious food and friendly staff. We walk our dogs in the area at the side of the hotel on the right – a nice field and wooded area in the grounds of a conference centre. No-one seems to mind. Very convenient stopping place if you're on a long journey, and a good night's sleep at a reasonable price. I found a blood stain on the bed sheet. There was a bad smell, something decaying in the room, so we had to have the window open at all times - until the number of mosquitoes was unbearable. Air on did not work, just made a loud noise. Avoid at all costs the location is isolated and hotel run down. At the check in not very welcoming people. Rooms were very cold and heating not working so they provided an electricity heater which dry up the air onto the room. I had to change the room but still the same. Could go to Campanile for half of the price and have the same heating.
