It has been featured in many interiors and lifestyle magazines and is fitted out to a high standard by its owners. The cottage has been described as 'property nirvana' by journalists as it features a host of features such as a boudoir style master bedroom, open fire, drench shower, and Aga Range. There is a large open plan area downstairs which is painted in calming soothing colours, and a mix of old and new pieces, giving the property the feel that you are in someones home not a rental property. The grounds are fairly extensive which are fenced and mostly laid to lawn, with decked areas for entertaining around the cottage. There is a barbecue and ample parking and disabled access. I think this might be our 4th stay at the cottage. Sadly the hotel and bar next door are no longer serving non residents and due to time of year the cafe was closed. The cottage used to leave a nice welcome pack with wine and nibbles but seem to have stopped this which is a shame as most holiday homes leave something. A few things in kitchen could do with a refresh, wine fridge doesn’t change temp so wasn’t usable, kitchen knife’s are blunt and the drawer was messy (mine is at home but you don’t expect this in a holiday house) few small touches missing - no hand soap in en suite room, no oven glove, no information booklet on what to do at checkout or advice on places to visit. Set in a beautiful area with direct access to the beach. A huge enclosed garden for our dogs and seating areas following the sun. The property is tastefully decorated and spacious it’s well equipped. I personally loved the peace listening to the waves at night, drinking coffee outside watching the sun coming up, long walks on the beach with the dogs. There is a small cafe across the road from the property. Arbroath about 6 miles away so shop before you arrive.
