A porch swing on the ground level provides another quiet spot to rest and relax. The living space is on the top floor with a walk-out basement. The master bedroom is spacious and includes a queen-sized bed and a private full-size bathroom. The other two rooms include full-size beds. If you have more than 6 guests, the comfy couch opens up to a queen-sized bed to accommodate two more people. There is a quiet sitting area in the basement for anyone who needs their own space. There are extra mattresses if you want to spread out your guests. Towels and linens are provided unless otherwise directed. We have a cooler and beach chairs available if you want to take them to Philbin Beach, which is 2 miles away, Moshup Beach, Menemsha or Lobsterville Beach. Located in Aquinnah, this rental allows you to find peace of mind and tranquility day and night. During your stay, you may want to visit the Gay Head Light House and take a tour or grab lunch and shop for a souvenir at the cliffs. Don't forget to visit the Aquinnah Cultural Center as well. Be sure to catch a sunset at any of the surrounding beaches. It makes for some stunning photo opportunities. Friendly, house-trained pets are welcome. Please be sure to clean up after pets and keep them on our property as not to disturb the neighbors. At the end of the day, kick back and relax by the fire pit and don't forget the chocolate for your smores. We also have some outdoor games readily available in the basement. During the day, we went to the beach right down the road and at night, we went out to dinner in a nearby town or ate at home and made s’mores by the fire. Worth stocking up with food and drink at a large supermarket when you arrive, as it is a long drive to the shops, unless you go to Grey Barn, where the much coveted raw (unpasteurised) milk and popular pastries sell out fast. We quickly fell in love with the home and property as soon as we got there. Honestly, the pictures of the listing did not do it justice. The rooms are much bigger than they look in the pictures. Also, each room has very large closets which made it easy to store our luggage. The house was extremely clean and they had lots of supplies too. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our nights by the fire pit or out on the covered porch. The kids had a blast looking for frogs in the pond or running around the secluded yard. The property really is a perfect little oasis for families with young kids. We like staying on this side of the island so we can quickly get to Menemsha for sunsets even though we spend most of our days out on Chappy. We had never actually stayed in Aquinnah before and I have to say it is my new favorite. Doing the drive every day back and forth to the house was just so beautiful! On top of how fabulous the house was, the owners were really amazing too. They were very responsive and extremely helpful to answer any of my questions and even allowed us an early check in the day we arrived. We appreciate them opening their home to us and we can’t wait to come back another time. Just be careful of the ticks in the yard and make sure to check yourself for them daily. The house has everything you could need on vacation and the owners are so helpful and responsive. We loved spending afternoons on the deck after long days at the beach. And night time by the fire pit roasting marshmallows with the kids was perfect. The house is extremely clean and well stocked. We love the location and the privacy of the home. We are so grateful to have stayed here and can’t wait to go back in the future! Kelly and Don were terrific communicators, and responsive to any question we had. Kelly even hustled to get us beach towels on day 1 when I let her know that we couldn't find them. I gave the cleanliness 4 stars (which is still great!) only because the house was a little dusty and sandy...I think we were the first renters of the season and it just seemed like it needed a refresh. ##### Maria S. The house looked better than the pictures! Check in was easy with the door code and the binder about the house was very helpful. We travelled with our two dogs who had a blast playing in the yard. The house was super close to Lobsterville beach, which we took the dogs to for morning walks. Aquinnah was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, especially compared to some of the more touristy parts of the island. It was the perfect location for us and our dogs to relax.
