There are fabulous ocean views from every level of the house, each with it's own private deck! The house also has a roof top deck complete with outdoor sectional, large teak table, with wonderful views of the Ocean. The house is just a short distance from both Rio Del Mar & Seacliff State Park with it's famous wharf and cement ship. Located near the beach, this large Home features a both a Master Bedroom and Master Suite, plus Guest Bedroom. The house has 3 full sized bathrooms plus a half bath and can accommodate large families. The home is spacious and has a fully furnished kitchen, plenty of seating, Streaming LCD TV's , Fast WiFi, Washer&Dryer, and Garage with additional driveway parking. Just a short distance to the beautiful Forest of Nisene Marks State Park. The park offers rugged semi-wilderness, rising from sea level to steep coastal mountains of more than 2,600 feet. With over 30 miles of trails, hiking, jogging and biking along trails and streams and small waterfalls are some of the activities to be enjoyed here. The home is within walking distance of some great local restaurants including Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant at the entrance to Seacliff State Beach. There is also a nice cafe next to Manuel's that serves delicious food with great menu selections and fabulous service. Be sure to check it out for any meal! Lots of other shops from small unique specialty shops to familiar stores like Safeway, Rite Aid, Ace Hardware, all within just a short distance away from the home. Located nearby is the older village of Aptos with its historic Bayview Hotel and Restaurant. We are centrally located and just a short distance from some famous areas and attractions. Capitola (next door) with it's famous food and shopping is just a few minutes from the house. Santa Cruz with it's world famous Beach Boardwalk and Wharf is also a short drive. During your trip, you can also easily visit the Monterey Peninsula with such attractions as The Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf (and be there in less than 30 minutes). This area truly has it all and we look forward to having you as our guest. It was a great house that accommodated my whole family. The location was a short drive to everything we wanted to see and the house had pretty much what we needed. My only issue is that it was not disclosed that the heater was not working. I reached out to the owner and he responded quickly letting us know and telling us the were a couple of portable heaters. He also offered to pick up more for us if we needed them,which was nice. But my elderly parents really suffered the first night so it would've been nice to tell us right away. ##### Lissa B. Aptos is such a cute town and very quiet. There's a Safeway not far away, Marianne's ice cream is delicious, and there are several coffee shops. We ate at Aptos BBQ which was yummy and did a wine tasting at Ser Winery Wine Tasting which we enjoyed. This house was much bigger than we needed for our family of 4 but it was nice that our young adult kids (boy & girl) each had their own room and bathroom. The beds were VERY comfortable (even the sheets were soft and good quality) and we loved having the king bed. The living room has a brand new couch with plenty of seating room and a Smart TV in the corner cabinet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils and there are some dry goods (salt, pepper, olive oil) also. The refrigerator looks brand new as does the cook top. The view from the several decks, especially the rooftop, is amazing (as long as there's no fog). They have brand new furniture on the rooftop deck, but we didn't use it. There's a table and chairs up there too, a little old and worn. I noticed that a few other reviews mention that the house is older and there's a bit of a musty/stale smell. I found this to be true, but it still felt very clean and comfortable and it wouldn't deter me from booking Joe's place again. We spent one day in Aptos and did day trips for the other days. The entrance to the Freeway (1) is very close to the house so it made traveling to other locations very convenient and easy. Overall, we loved Aptos and Joe's house and would highly recommend booking with him. ##### Joanne H. The house is lived-in and comfortable and much bigger than in the pictures; there's tons of space for a big family or a bunch of friends. Our group had a toddler and was able to spread out in the huge lower room while the kid-free adults had the second floor to themselves. The top floor (which you walk into through the front door) is a great gathering space and makes it easy to cook meals together, BBQ, watch movies, drink some beers, and play games. Hands-down, the best part are the views from the decks - you feel like you're in a treehouse but you can also see the ocean from corners of the decks and from the rooftop deck. It's so relaxing and pretty and smells amazing out there. The location overall is great because it's easy to get to a couple different beaches. The road is really busy with no sidewalks and very close to the house, so if you're used to strolling out your door and walking around, this is a spot you'll need to navigate more carefully. Joe was easy to reach by text and lovely about accommodating. Thanks for a nice stay. ##### Erica M. Access to the beach is a short walk down hill (10 minutes). Amazing trees make the property feel like you're in a giant tree house. King bed is extremely comfortable and huge shower in king bed room. Good location to go to Monterey aquarium one way and redwood state park the other. Easy access to the beach which was not crowded but we were there during the week. Loved internet access . Only downside is the couches are older/ sink waaay in when you sit down. I would recommend this house. We really enjoyed our stay. This house would be great ecpecially for 3 couples..and kids. We went to Moss Landing and kayaked the slough..Great tour with Kayak Connections.
