You can soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the regular festivals and events hosted by Apollo Bay or head off the beaten track on one of the varied walks on the beach or in the rainforest Apollo Bay has to offer. Enjoy Tastes of the Region at our local Brewhouse, savour finely roasted coffee in the industrial chic café Hello Coffee or indulge in a delightful treat at our famous bakery. It is very easy to navigate around the Apollo Bay region by car and plentiful parking in town. The Apollo Bay to Colac bus departs every Wednesday and a daily return service from Apollo Bay to Melbourne via Geelong (bus to Geelong followed by Vline train to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne). The Vline bus from Geelong to Apollo Bay includes a stop at Skenes Creek. Marengo is about a 25 minute walk or short taxi ride from the centre of town. Hordern Vale is a bit further along the Great Ocean Road and easier to access by car. It is possible to get there via tax also. The Apollo Bay Taxi is also available on 0400 229 222. Apollo Bay provides all of the services and amenities of any main town, including hospital, vet, police and fire brigade. You will find contact details for these in the Great Ocean Road Escapes compendium at your property. No smoking No parties or events Pets are allowed, except Puppies.
