"The check in staff were amazing, but when we went to the restaurant it all went down hill 100mph, the staff ignored us especially the self proclaimed sommelier, he needs a rocket, even with eye contact he completely chose to not see.....the food wasnt any better, gluggy potatoes full of cheese, dry beoff..no water as asked for when we finally were asked until we asked again later, poured our own wine, and many tables were in the same predicament.. mattress was terrible, but the toom otherwise...

"This little known gem, situated about 10 minutes from Egletons on the D16, in the delightfully rural Correze, is well worth a visit. If it’s peace, calm and tranquility you seek - this is it. Relatively unknown to the English (we were the first English to stay here) it’s well worth a visit. The hosts are very welcoming and speak English. The facilities are superb - we just wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Niveau confort et propreté des chambres, rien à dire. Par contre quelques déceptions. Contrairement à ce qui est annoncé il n'y a pas de parking à l'hôtel. C'est stationnement gratuit mais dans les rues et en saison c'est compliqué. On devait avoir vu sur le parc, donc nous pensions avoir du calme !!! Pas du tout. Il n'y a pas de parc, c'est vu sur une église entourée d'arbres, mais surtout séparée de l'hôtel par une rue très passante et terrasses de café restaurant. Donc pas du tout calme....

"We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. "Nous avons séjourné dans cette propriété pendant deux semaines de vacances et c'était merveilleux. Le propriétaire était un hôte charmant et serviable. La communication était excellente et il a mis à notre disposition tout ce dont nous avions besoin. La région est magnifique et offre un accès idéal aux sentiers de randonnée. L'endroit est isolé, il faut donc prévoir de prendre la voiture pour faire les courses ou aller au restaurant. Il y a une petite épicerie dans la vallée et un supermarché à 20 minutes en voiture. Attention, la route d'accès est raide et l'accès en hiver peut être difficile en cas de verglas ou de neige. Nous avons été enchantés de notre séjour et prévoyons d'y retourner lors de notre prochain voyage dans le Cantal.We stayed at this property for two weeks over the holidays and it was wonderful. The owner was a gracious and helpful host. They communicated well and provided everything we need. The area is beautiful and has great access to hiking in the area. the location is remote so be prepared to drive for groceries or to eat out. There is a small market in the valley and larger accessible within a 20 minute drive. Be warned the access road is steep and winter access can be difficult if there is ice or snow. We could not be happier with our stay and plan to return on our next visit to Cantal."

"The view of the mountains was great from our room, but there was nothing not to like. Rooms were really clean. The receptionist was amazing, it was a busy weekend when we stayed with a race on in Mont Dore (which we hadn’t realised) and she rang three restaurants to get us a reservation. She was amazing! Breakfast was great too. Fabulous, thank you. "

"What a stunning location and a lovely and very well equipped gite. Solange and Henri were friendly and always reacted well to questions or issues. It's an area we hadn't really visited before and we loved it - also great to have a well marked 8km dog friendly circular walk passing right outside the gite! Lots of places to visit nearby and stunning countryside."
