The gentleman that booked me into the hotel was very welcoming and professional. I have to say it was the easiest checking in that I have ever done. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is extremely well situated for exploring Dundee.

Room was clean and comfortable. Dove products in bathroom were appreciated, Room overlooked the front of the hotel which I was initially concerned about as the traffic was very noisy. However, I slept like a log and was not aware of the road. Breakfast was buffet style with a good range of cereals, fruit and yogurt, cooked breakfast, pastries and toast. Staff helpful and professional. Parking (council owned), not expensive and just behind the hotel, access on second floor. Cathedral and museums really interesting with the hotel central to key sights.

Very friendly staff . Very clean through out . Very Comfortable bed . Plentiful breakfast options nice and hot and regularly filled . Close to shops restaurants and attractions . Would definetly hope to stay here again in the near distant future

Christmas shopping
Hotel staff so friendly,arrived early and was able to get our room .Great hotel for shopping,events,etc breakfast included for the price really good value.Would highly recommend this hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and everything needed for a stay. Good hearty breakfast. Would love to see all hotels get rid of carpet and put in vinyl plank flooring for cleanliness factor. Near the main road and convenient to town

Really convenient for city centre.
Fab view over the River Tay. Very quiet room. Car park on Gellatley St is attached to hotel by footbridge on Level 3, straight into Reception. No discounted rate for parking - prepay before exiting. Water cistern in bathroom ran all night despite my best efforts. On reporting it, was told 'some of them do - just try pushing again' Not the best response to broken sleep. Maybe they need fixed?

Good value for money & good that breakfast is still included. The springs in the bed felt as if they were broken & wakened constantly with corridor door slamming. I think the spring needed adjusting. We were very close to the door. The location is great. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would definitely book again. We have stayed @ Holiday Inn express a number of times.

Felt unsafe. Phones in room did not work (no advance notice provided). Wouldn’t care normally, but someone opened our room door late at night. When we confronted a young man in the hallway he said he worked there and that everything was fine. It was NOT fine! Couldn’t call the front desk to report the incident and after lack of sleep, when we did report it the following morning the Manager didn’t seem to care. Would not recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is excellent with easy access for the train station. If travelling by car be aware the hotel doesn't have its own parking but links to a council car park which is free overnight 8 - 8 but otherwise a charge applies. For our stay we had booked a family room. On arrival we booked in, were given a key and off we went. The key hadn't been activated so we trooped back to reception, updated the key and the "manager" then says oh I don't think that is a family room, if you can check and if it isn't we can change it for you. So off we go to this room which isn't a family room and trail back to reception. We were asked to wait in the lounge area while they made up a room and it would be 10 minutes or so. 25 minutes later we enquire when the room would be ready and the key had been waiting for us but they hadn't told us! Not the best start. Other than that the hotel is typical of its type. I did relay our check in issue during check out and the manager on duty that day was mortified, so I guess it depends who is on duty.
