Honteux !!! Hormis la vue qui est absolument magnifique, cet hôtel est une vrai arnaque. On parle ici de chambres à 200€ la nuit , donc on peut s’attendre à un minimum de prestations. Il n’en n’est rien !!!!. Les chambres basiques sont à fuir . Vieux , vétuste , usées ,rafistolées,odeur de moisie, eau chaude aléatoire . Du coup c’est vraiment trop cher!!!pour la prestation. De plus il faut savoir que l’on ne peut pas rejoindre le village à pieds ,sauf à marée basse.Donc prévoir 40rs par personne pour l’aller retour en bateau , qui est plutôt une épave flottante !!. Et le petit plus pour la fin: ils ont voulus nous facturer l’utilisation du parapluie mis à disposition dans la chambre….. Le soir , il n’y a plus personne du staff , il vaut donc mieux ne pas avoir un problème vu l’isolement de l’hôtel. Bref ilha grande oui, Asalem non et non!!

Excellent séjour à Asalem, Nous ne pouvions pas mieux tomber pour ces quelques jours de détente à Ilha Grande. Tout, de la chambre à la localisation, jusqu’aux petits déjeuners repas et activités autour de l’ile, était génial. Le personnel est agréable et serviable. Rien à dire de plus: super séjour!

Endroit fabuleux
On a passé un super séjour dans un cadre idyllique avec une vue imprenable. Un personnel agréable . Le seul problème ( la nourriture le soir n’est pas top ) on a dîner une seule fois et on a été déçu du coup on allait en ville pour manger . Le meilleur resto sur l’île c’est café de mar un délice avec des produits pas cher et frais .

Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht nicht mehr den Bildern. Wir hatten nicht nur braunes Wasser, leider auch zu keinem Zeitpunkt richtig warmes / heißes Wasser. Es wird für alles eine extra Gebühr berechnet. Beispielsweise kann kann man keinen Schirm leihen, nur kaufen. Um in die Stadt zu kommen muss man das Boot für 4€ pro Person pro Strecke nehmen. Wir würden trotz der Aussicht nicht mehr hierher kommen.

Perhaps the best hotel at Ilha Grande. Located away from Abrao. 5 min by hotel boat taxi, cost 20 BRL (4 USD) during the day hours and 40 BRL (8 USD) when it is dark, i.e. after 6pm. Walking is impossible for much of the time as the pathway is frequently flooded. Make sure you call/send whatsapp message to the reception in advance about your trips there and back. There is normally one trip every hour. The boat is quite small and at the beginning hard to identify but after a while you get used to it. Location away from Abrao is good for some if one needs a quiet secure place and a disadvantage if you need some more life around but then again using the boat helps in getting a good balance of everything. The property itself is very good, comfortable, the views are stunning. The staff members are very helpful. Regarding Ilha Grande I had a tour around some beaches, which was not bad. However if you wish to visit the best place then forget other beaches and go Lopes Mendes. Getting there is a quest but worth it: you first go by water taxi to Pouso beach (located in inner lagoon, no big waves) and then walk 20 min through the forest. One could walk all the way from Abrao but that is then few hours. The beach closer to sunset is really stunning. Overall, great experience at Ilha Grande. Thanks a lot.

We were looking forward to our stay at Asalem. I had planned this trip for months and had great expectations for this property. The place looked amazing on pictures, the location was perfect. On site we arrived late afternoon, the hostess was great and dinner was ok. The following day breakfast service was great. However our rooms did not look like in the pictures, the rooms were old, with chipped wood and cracked slabs. The worst was the wholes in the sheets and the bedding and towels were in poor shape and even with mold. The bathrooms were old and had a bad smell but most of all they were not clean. My daughter and I used our sandals to shower as we did not want to step on the shower bare foot. The floor of the rooms, the outlets, curtains, doors were all in bad shape and in urgent need of repair. My family was very disappointed and even though we had originally planned to extend our stay, we decided one night there had been enough. I am sure their newer rooms are better and that everything is great there but the pictures are not accurate to the current state, the property should show current pictures of the older units so that guests know what they are accepting when booking. Still this does not make up for the lack in higiene.

We spent 4 nights at Asalem. We enjoyed our time very much. We stayed at the chalet which was spacious and has amazing views of the bay. The hotel serves the best caipirinhas in town and the food they serve is also very good. There are lots of steps to take each day so you have to be fit enough to climb those. A little boat brings you to the village and back. It’s a very special place we can highly recommend.

Staff was very nice. Free boat pickup/dropoff from pier. Large room with air conditioning and wifi (when it works). Great authentic breakfast (included) and delicious dinner. Staff was very nice. Hotel is a bit remote but very beautiful and pretty easy to get around, especially if youre willing to pay rs$15 for boat transfer to main part of island.

This place was a great value find. Nathalia is what makes this place a home from home. She was always happy and super helpful. So was the other lady who i think was her sister maybe. The breakfast view was great and its just so peaceful. The taxi service from the main port to hotel was easy to navigate with whatsapp and not to expensive. The happy hour was great and we tasted a lot of caipirihnas in Brazil but they did the best. The rooms are a bit basic but it's a remote island so expect more rustic besides we didn't spend much time in the room. But it's very eco which is a good thing.

Asalem had great views and a decent breakfast spread. The manager, Natalia, was wonderful and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. However, there are not many amenities here. The rooms had no hair dryer or television. The dock area, which is the only swimming area) had only 2 floaties so unless you're proficient at floating in deep water, you have to wait. Also be aware that this location is not walkable to the town, and you need to pay the ferry each time you take it - only checkin/out is free. This property would not be suitable for those with small children either - there are a lot of areas that are not safely enclosed that a small child/toddler could easily fall (10 feet), including the rooms (bed is in the loft area, which is only protected by a single rope) and the stairs to the rooms (again, only a rope handrail in most areas). You need to place your dinner orders by the afternoon if you are dining at the hotel so you can't decide too late. But the drinks/food are good.

A estadia foi excelente. O atendimento por parte de todo o pessoal da pousada excelente a Natália, a Karen, a Aline, todo o pessoal e nem falar do Ezequias, nota 20, muito atencioso e educado. a única coisa a ressalvar, foi a questão da acessibilidade, por possuir muitas escadas com degraus irregulares e alguns trechos sem corre maos. Essa circunstancia poderia ser mais apontado melhor neste site. A comida do cardápio do restaurante, também muito boa. Com certeza voltaremos

A vista do hotel é incrível e os funcionários são extremamente educados e atenciosos. Um dos lugares onde os funcionários foram mais atenciosos e educados de todos os locais que já fiquei. Foi permitido late check out sem custo extra. Porém a crítica que tenho a fazer é em relação ao custo-benefício. É um local com uma diária muito cara para o que oferece. Para ir para a vila de Abraao era cobrado 15 reais por pessoa por trajeto (com exceção de check in e check out)... pelo preço da diária achei meio “abusiva” essa cobrança. Pelo preço da diária também esperava um quarto mais confortável (não tinha nem tv), com roupas de cama e banho melhores.

Vale a pena estar en Asalem
Adoramos Asalem! Fomos em família e nos sentimos em família. As meninas Naty e Aline e o Ezeq são especiais para atender aos hóspedes. Nós fizeram sentir em casa! A localização da pousada para quem tranquilidade é única. Sossego, vista excepcional e uma pequena praia 5 min de caminhada. Para ir à Vila a pousada disponibiliza um barquinho que faz a travessia em uns 7 min. O quarto e banheiros são limpos sem luxo mas com tudo que precisamos em uma Ilha. Café da manhã muito gostoso! Voltarei com certeza!

Room needs upgrade. Doors don't shut well and windows need new screen as they have many holes in them allowing insects to come in. We did notice that some of the rooms seem to be upgraded. Also, there's no way to walk to the village. The access is only by boat so you have to plan ahead.

Heerlijk verblijf gehad, personeel was super vriendelijk. Ligt afgelegen maar niet ver van winkels en restaurants. Enige min punt, het was echt heel erg duur voor wat je krijgt. Voelt als een hostel maar je betaald voor 5 steren. Douche kop was echt vies (zie foto)

No esta mal y el personal es miy amable,pero tenia algunos puntos en contra importates, en nuestra habitacion y balcon no habia WIFI, la habitacioñ no tenia donde guardar la ropa, varias noches tuvimos q reclamar para tener agua caliente o salir afuera a la oscuridad detras de la habitacion para habilitar la llave de paso, el acceso desde el centro la parte del hotel no está iluminada y es muy fea para hacer de noche (el traslado del horñtel en bote es 15 reales por persona y trayecto) y en bote del hotel es caro.y el personal es muy amable
