Prepare a wonderful meal in the fully equipped kitchen (or the private gas grill) and gather around the table. What's nearby: This property is located in the 40,000-acre Angel Fire Resort, which offers fun in the winter or summer. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing in the winter, or mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and hiking in the warmer months. The Angel Fire Country Club features a pool, fitness room, golf course, tennis courts, and a pickleball court. The Village Center, less than a half mile away, offers dining and shopping. Try the famous Curry Fried Chicken at the Enchanted Circle Brewing Company, just over one mile from the condo. Please note this unit does not have A/C. \*Four-wheel drive is not required but the driveway can be hard to get up after a large snowstorm. They keep plowed, but it sometimes takes a little while. This property is managed by Vacasa New Mexico LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Ski shuttle details: Angel Fire Resort Ski Area shuttles pick up and drop off skiers at designated condo shuttle stops. Pick-ups and drop-offs will be integrated into the normal shuttle routes between the parking lots and the ski hill. During peak holiday dates, the condo shuttle will run a continuous route with no charge to our guests. During off peak times, the condo shuttle will be on a on-call basis only. Guests can call 505-603-1038 to request a ride. All they need to do is tell which condo and how many guests need to be picked up, and a shuttle will be sent directly to that location. (Antelope, Bear, Deer, Cougar, Fox) Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Previous reviews mentioned problems with the heat. Lows were in the 20s during our stay and heat wasn't an issue. There are portable space heaters we could have used if needed. Ski in / ski out might be a bit of a stretch but you could walk to the slopes. If there was lots of snow you could probably ski out from the far end of the property onto Dreamcatcher. The condo did not disappoint in the slightest bit. It took a few days to figure out the radiant heating system but it wasn’t a negative at all. Being so close to the resort and lifts was awesome. We parked our vehicle and never moved it all week. The views from the balconies are amazing. I would suggest that the photos in the VRBO listing be updated to reflect the renovations and updates to the kitchen and baths. The master bath was beautiful!! There is new carpet, and the two bathrooms and kitchen were recently updated. It is spacious, and close to Angel Fire resort. Upon arrival it was a bit dusty, and there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The only negative which dropped the rating from a 4 to a 3 was that the tv/direct tv was not working. Upon reporting it the first night, a maintenance man was sent out on the second day, and worked hard to resolve the problem, but was unsuccessful. No follow up from Vacasa, and we had no tv for the entire 4 nights. ##### Kate D. However, the condo appears all original including the appliances. We had a 4 day stay and after grocery shopping on day 1 we noticed that the temperature inside the refrigerator was 55 degrees. Clearly the owners or management company were aware as they had put an outside temperature gauge inside the unit. We called right away and were told there was nothing that could be done during our stay. This unit is run by a property management team and they were very unresponsive to our issue. Having no refrigerator was a big deal as that one reason we stayed in a condo verses a hotel. We had to shop before each meal and could not keep leftovers. The master bedroom carpet was unattached to the tack strip going into the master bath and so we punctured our feet at night when trying to use the restroom. The kitchen has a completely loose floor tile as well. We feel that this unit needs some maintenance in order for guests to be comfortable. A disappointment for us for sure. ##### Greg B. This unit was very clean which is number one for us. It does not have views of Wheeler like the other’s in the complex we have stayed at and is not updated.
