We prepared home cooked meals each day in the spacious and fully-equipped kitchen with plenty of dining space for all of us. Our three nights and days were filled with making memories together in the perfect place. We felt welcomed the moment we opened the door and found a decorated Christmas tree and the large tv’s displaying holiday screens and playing quiet music. The house was a great place to be together….or separate… as needed. Football games were watched, table games were played, arts and crafts were created, movies were enjoyed, conversations were had, and s’mores were eaten by the fire pit. We ventured out to bowl and ice skate in town and ate hotdogs at Skins. What a wonderful few days to reconnect as a family! This is a great place in winter or summer! ##### Diana P. My parents, brother, sister in law, two children 4 and 2 and my 17 year old daughter. Thought there were going to be others which is why we got such a big house, but it was fabulous! My father ended up being in a wheelchair, and was able to maneuver the one step to the front door and the two small steps to the den and bedroom. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked, there was a grill and a bag of charcoal. There were ample towels, shampoo, soap, etc. The dock and back porch were lovely. We were able to put all the boys on one wing and all the girls on the other. It was perfect for what we needed. A few of the rooms are connected, which is great if you’ve got a family with small kids or a big group like we did, where everyone wants to be together. The house is clean and open. It’s great for entertaining. The kitchen was well stocked. It’s great for a big group. The lake access was wonderful. The double dock was fantastic. We could lay out on one side and fish on the other. We did bring our own boat and there’s a boat landing close by and a slip for a boat on the dock. We stay at a lake house in NC, Ten, or SC every year with our extended family and this was the best lake for value we have ever visited. The house was beautiful and large enough to accommodate 13 adults with 8 children (ages 0-8 years old). The size of the house cannot be stressed enough as it had enough room to have the kids and adults do their own activities without feeling crowded. The lake itself was warm and clean with very little lake traffic so boating was a pleasure. The grocery store is less than 5 minutes away for anything needed.
