Mountain View Retreat with Deck, Yard, Lake, & Fire Pit

Our spacious four-bedroom home has the best of both worlds - the convenience of being in the heart of the city (10 min drive to downtown) AND gorgeous mountain views & wildlife right in our backyard. Within 5 minutes of landing, you could be sipping a drink on our large deck overlooking the mountains and a small semi-private lake. There are sandhill cranes that often frequent our yard, along with moose and waterfowl.

Fully stocked kitchen / Grill / Fire pit / High chair & pack n play crib / Lake toys.

Note: I live downstairs in the bottom unit. You have the upper unit and deck all to yourself but you will likely see myself or my partner in the yard. We have a ring bell/camera in front of the left front door (our entrance), the door below the deck to our unit, and on the deck for security.

Roomy and comfortable home

Enjoyed nice views and easy access to family we visited. Great kitchen and 2 bdrms 1 bath on main level. Upper floor has a master bdrm plus another bdrm which both shared large master bath. Comfortable beds. Saw a moose early morning on day 2 of our trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Crane House. The house is located on a beautiful property with a pond and terrific view. My grandsons had great fun kayaking around the pond. The house is super clean and has everything you need to eat in but is also very convenient to restaurants and all activities. Thanks for an excellent start to our Alaska vacation!

Perfect spot

We had a lovely stay in the middle of our Alaska adventure. We needed a few days in Anchorage between some of our fishing trips. House is very clean and well stocked - we enjoyed the deck and having the gas grill available for cooking. The house is close to town which was convenient. There is no A/C but it wasn’t necessary. The windows opened everywhere and house cooled without any issue. The deck is lovely but is hot in the sun - an umbrella would be awesome to have out there! But that’s a minor detail. Overall very clean and comfortable space to set up for a few days. Thanks!

Crane House stay

This property was fantastic. Very conveniently located near the airport & only a short distance to downtown Anchorage. In a quiet neighborhood. Excellent views of the mountains. The property was very clean & perfect for our family. We had no issues with communication with the host. I would highly recommend this property.

Lovely property!

We’ve stayed in lots of VRBOs and this was one of the best. The view is better than the pictures let on and there was plenty of space, we had three generations under one roof. Super clean, well equipped, great deck, quiet neighborhood, only a mile from the airport. If ever back in Anchorage with a group, we’d stay again!

Six Star Experience

My wife and I met five friends from the Lower 48 to hang out, play games and see Alaska. Great communication with Alyse from reservation through check out. The house is very well-designed - clean, modern, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We really appreciated the house plant selection. The kitchen was great, well-supplied, and very functional. The only downside is that it is close to the airport, so bring earplugs if you are noise-sensitive. Alyse was very responsive when we needed something - weighted blanket, WD40, whatever. Super-friendly. Beautiful backyard and deck. Even a row boat for the pond. Everyone loved the Crane House!
