As described

A nice condo right by the mountain. Thoughtfully laid out, clean, and convenient. I would add that it overlooks the parking lot, but that this means that the neighboring creek can be heard from the patio and main bedroom, which was lovely.

Good location but not cleaned well

It was well equipped but beds are not that nice and the home was not cleaned well. They said that a power outage caused that but couldn’t get cleaners in the next day. It is nicely located in Girdwood with awesome restaurant close by, jacks sprat.

Great location and comfortable space

Very nice property to stay in. I may have misread the listing as I did not realize that the laundry was communal and in the hall. It was fine overall. The space was comfortable. It looked like the shades were new however I would highly recommend black out curtains over it. The location was excellent.

Great place to stay!

Great location, comfortable condo with everything you need. I would suggest brighter light bulbs in the bedrooms. It was a little dark. Also, please check the microwave door. I think there is a screw loose or missing.

instructions for Shower

we found this condo sufficient for our 2 day visit. Cozy sleeping accommodations but the living room and kitchen area was good for the 6 of us. One suggestion we have is for the owners to place an instruction sheet on how to use the shower. Luckily, I had seen this type once before but its not very intuitive so suggest a note near the shower. thank you!

Vacation

The property was okay for a short stay. Probably better for younger people. Well stocked, beds comfortable and nice clean linens. The couch and it’s pillows could use cleaning. It was a good area to make day trips to Seward and Whittier.

Amazing location and scenery

The condo was very nice. It was like a mixture of a vacation rental and a hotel. Very clean and the place is big. Super close to Alyeska. Beautiful views. Close to very good dining.

Trip to Alaska fishing

Needed one night outside of anchorage before going to Ninilchyk for fishing. This was perfect spot to stay close to Anchorage on route

There are better options

Beware: allthough this property is advertised by VRBO, it is managed by a company called Vacasa. Our experience with Vacasa was very poor. The condo unit itself pleased us. It was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The online pictures are accurate. As noted in reviews it, the condo building itself is old (1970s?) and shows a lot of wear - but that did not affect us much. Note that the cost of this condo becomes quite high after numerous fees are eventually tacked on to the advertised base price. Our problems were centered on the unprofessional conduct of Vacasa management. For several days leading up to our arrival, our attempts at reaching management were consistently ignored. We needed help, and got nothing, despite numerous attempts using emails (unanswered), online chat sessions (no response), and phone calls (lengthy voicemail hold, with eventual disconnect). Online advice at VRBO says: "when the management repeatedly fails to respond to you, consider cancelling your trip". Despite this sound advice, we launched our trip anyway, acting only on faith. A couple hours before our actual arrival at the condo (after we stepped off the jet in Anchorage), I was contacted by a local Vacasa representative in Girdwood, who reached out to ask me for a favor ("Will you please leave the condo so we can do some maintenance?"). From that point on, after we were finally able to reach a real person on site, I received the prompt help and the level of service we should have received all along. We are easy-going folks who are generally easy to please. But in this instance, given the overall poor service, the frustration, and ineptness we experienced, combined with the relatively high cost of the condo, my advice to customers is to seek a rental unit elsewhere. There are plenty of other options in Girdwood that are not managed by Vacasa.

Comfortable and convenient

The unit was very well stocked. There was nothing that we felt we needed and didn’t have. We liked how convenient it was to the mountain. We enjoyed the fireplace after a day of skiing.

Good place to stay

We found the unit itself very clean, convenient to skiing, dining and walking. Very quiet ! Perfect for our needs and the owner was very responsive when we had a problem finding the lockbox. Thanks for the wonderful weekend, we are well rested ! Suggest saying the lockbox is located in the right stairwell as you're facing the building as that is how most people will see it initially.
