Charming hotel in central location

Posted 4-Jan-2016
Cons: We did a pre check-in earlier in the morning, and then came back to get the room keys to our room at 3pm. The room was not ready for another hour.
Location: Cute shops and restaurants, 5 minutes to Dam square, beautiful location on the canal.
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a while. The hotel itself is very charming and has many perks that are great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and updated, and the beds were comfortable. I also really liked the breakfast bags, as well as the lounge where a drink could be enjoyed. The location is also very convenient, and there are many cute shops close by.

Great location. Stylish hotel.

Back from a lovely stay... Ideally positioned in the Nine Streets. Room was comfortable but breakfast/ dinner were slightly disappointing and they may need to review the kitchen/ waiting staff if they want to maintain the high standards set by the hotel.

Pros: Obviously a destination for eating and drinking for non-residents, which shows how popular it is.
Cons: Creating a smoking area outside the hotel that means smokers don't congregate around the entrance and block it - not a good impression ...
Location: Very central location. Easy access to all areas of the city.
Very cool hotel in a great location. Would visit again.

I think this hotel is perfection!

Posted 1-Dec-2015
Pros: All of it, everything.
Cons: Can't really imagine.
I love the Hoxton Amsterdam. It's lively, unique, hip and in a great location. I had such an amazing time. The staff are all very friendly and happy to make recommendations and help in various ways. The first night, my room (on a low floor) was a bit noisy due to the music in the bar area. They were super happy to move me to a high room. On the topic of the room: WOW! They are gorgeous. Immaculately decorated, lots of small, interesting details and just remarkable touches. They have an internet radio that they have on when you check into your room, a very cool copper towel rack that also keeps the bathroom warm, a fridge that remains stocked with water and milk (and you can buy beer, wine and champagne for EXCELLENT prices in the lobby). I am IN LOVE with this hotel. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam.

Location Style & Charm

Posted 29-Nov-2015
Pros: Loved its location, style and ambience.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: Loads of shops cafes, bars....... everything you could possibly want or need.
Great place to stay close to everything, right on the canal & near lovely shops & cafes etc. It's has busy bistro & bar & busy vibe welcomes you in. The rooms are beautifully decorated, comfortable and compact. A complimentary small breakfast is provided 'lunch box style' which is a nice touch. I will definately stay at the Hoxton again & recommend it to others.

Best hotel in Amsterdam

Posted 22-Nov-2015
Pros: Customer Service, Location, Room, Cleanliness, Light Breakfast, Food and Drink Available, Humor and Price.
Cons: I can not think of one thing. They met all of our expectations and more.
Location: Within walking distance to the museums, Ann Frank House, City Center, Jordaan neighborhood, restaurants and shopping.
The location was perfect. We walked to the Museums, Jordaan neighborhood and all over this beautiful city. The front desk staff was incredible. They would do anything to accommodate our request. I like their down to earth approach with the customers. The décor was impressive. So much thought must have gone into their clever sayings and pictures. Cute and entertaining. My husband is 6’9” so I asked for a room with some height. They gave us a beautiful room with 12’ ceilings. We were surprised the room rate also included a light breakfast (which was plenty; yogurt, fruit, granola and orange juice. The room had coffee, tea, water and milk (melk if you were in Amsterdam). They also offered one hour of free phone calls anywhere. My mom was surprised when I phoned from Amsterdam.

Hipster haven near (in?) the Jordaan

Posted 18-Nov-2015
Cons: If you have a heavy luggage with wheels, make sure to ask for help getting it to and from your room. Many of the rooms are accessible only by stairs.
Our room was decorated with objects of texture, mechanical alarm clocks, paperback books (good reads!), and a radio that could stream from Internet stations. The bed was larger than expected, a king instead of a double, and firm enough for a good night's sleep. This was one of the few times we've spent time in a hotel room, instead of seeking out the lobby or a cafe, when we had a little down-time between activities. The Hoxton is in a great location within Amsterdam. If it fits your budget, you won't be disappointed.

Canal side, modern-eclectic-cozy

Posted 18-Nov-2015
Loved this hotel and the staff. The cozy room was small (tiny!) but beautifully appointed and with a lovely small bathroom. Everything was sparkling clean. I was very happy with the Hoxton and its personal touches.
