Loved this Hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: They are doing an incredible job.....
Location: We walked everywhere. Every corner you turned there were museums, restaurants, shopping, and transportation.
From the time we walked into this hotel everything was awesome. The staff immediately offered us cold warer. Sparkling or still? The staff was so polite and helpful. The room was so clean and comfortable. It smelled so fresh and clean. It was. A light breakfast of banana, yogurt, and juice was at the door every morning. Coffee & tea were included in the room. A refrigerator with fresh milk and bottled water. The hotel is in a great location. We highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel great location

Posted 17-Aug-2016
First time in Amsterdam loved this hotel very friendly and welcoming. Appreciated the breakfast bag and free water and milk in the room little touches that make a big difference. We had a canal view Cosy room which was great not sure that the rooms without a view are that great.

Hip hotel close to main sights

Posted 9-Aug-2016
Pros: The service; the room; the style ; the location .
Cons: The room was sometimes made up very late in the day and the phone did not work very well .
Location: Located in the 'nine streets'; within walking distance of all the main sights
This is a lovely hotel; beautifully furnished with rooms that have canal views. The staff deliver courteous and considered service. No breakfast room - rather a healthy breakfast delivered to the room. Excellent location. Rooms are of different sizes so specify what you would like. Value for money

Wonderful hotel, friendly, helpful staff, superb

Posted 6-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything is so well appointed and thought out. Friendly atmosphere, amazing decor, superb staff and great ambience. Always loads going on.
Cons: I can't think of anything at present, really great place to stay.
Location: By the canal, close enough to walk in to the centre. Near all the tourist attractions associated with the city centre.
Chose this hotel for our Silver a Wedding Anniversary and really glad we did. Great location, close enough to walk to most attractions. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very thoughtful touches such as breakfast being provided on a hook outside your room, at a time of your choosing, and even the bottle of water being provided upon arrival, really made a difference. Great reception area with a very laid back ambience, ideal for grabbing a coffee or grabbing a bite to eat. The room was beautifully laid out, with loads of great touches and the wet room was excellent, really well thought out. If you are looking for a place to stay, there can not be any places any better to stay. Outstanding place to stay in an amazing city.

Friendly and helpful staff

Posted 30-Jul-2016
Pros: The friendly attitude of the staff. I felt welcomed and valued. The location is fantastic. The room service (fridge, food)
Cons: Room could be bigger. I had an adjoining door to the room next door, which meant some sound came through from next door.
Location: Excellent location. Close to Dam square, Anne Frank house. Close to get trams to other parts of the city. Close to shops. Not far from station
I have just come back from 4 days staying at the Hoxton. The staff are really helpful and friendly. I very much appreciated being treated as a person, not just another customer. It's the small things like being given a bottle of water on arrival to quench one's thirst, or the breakfast bag in the mornings which make you feel valued. The room had a mini fridge which was stocked with bottles of water and fresh milk every morning. Also coffee and tea making facilities were restocked every day. The room was clean, comfortable with TV (which I didn't use). The bathroom was well equipped. Great shower. Bed was comfy. Air-conditioning was appreciated. The hotel is in a great location (3 mins walk to Dam square). Being close to Dam square also means that there are loads of choices of trams to get you to the Rijksmuseum, or the station etc. It is very close to the Anne Frank house, and is in the prettiest area (western side) of the Grachtengordel. If I was visiting Amsterdam again, I would choose this hotel again. Really enjoyed my stay.

Amazing hotel nestled right in the Nine Streets are of Amsterdam. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops, Central Station, and Dam Square. The hotel has a great vibe, with retro hipster decor and a friendly, attentive staff. I can't wait to go back!

Great Place To Stay By the Canal

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Pros: The location on the canal ring was the best. You can walk to great shops and restaurants in the area. It's easy to get to the museums and anywhere e
Cons: Drawers and more space to hang up our clothes.
Location: The location is superb. It's right on the canal ring. Many elegant shops and restaurants in the area.
The Hoxton has a nice vibe. It's cozy and a little Bohemian. The room was small but comfortable and clean. Staff were very accommodating. It's not cold and institutional like chain hotels.
