Wonderful hotel in the heart of Amsterdam

Posted 11-Sep-2016
Pros: The staff, the room, the bed, free internet access and wi-fi, the lobby/bar area and the location.
Cons: Nothing. It was all great.
Location: In the heart of Amsterdam so near the Nine Streets shopping area and Dam Square. It overlooked a beautiful canal and we were able to walk everywhere.
When we arrived at The Hoxton, we were very impressed at the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. We were even more impressed by the clean and comfortable room. The bed was by far the comfiest I have ever slept in, it was like sleeping on a cloud and we both slept extremely well. This was topped by breakfast in bed every morning with the option of a larger breakfast downstairs if required but for us, the delivered breakfast was great.I could not fault this hotel at all and would certainly book again on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Finally, a bed that doesn't suck!

Posted 29-Aug-2016
Great decor, great atmosphere, nice restaurant inside that has great room service food. Staff is very friendly and was pleased at the overall quality. Bed and pillows were a godsend after many other lower star hotels between London, Paris, and other Euro cities. View out the front entrance and location are fantastic - you know its good when tour boats keep passing by every 5 minutes. Close to tons of things to see (boutique shops, cafes, Beer Temple, Anne Frank house, etc.).

Great location, fabulous hotel

Posted 28-Aug-2016
This hotel was great. It was in a great location, quiet, but centrally located. The staff were very friendly, the room was small, but nicely decorated and the little extras the hotel provided such as the free of charge breakfast bag were just brilliant. I would stay here again.

Loved this Hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: They are doing an incredible job.....
Location: We walked everywhere. Every corner you turned there were museums, restaurants, shopping, and transportation.
From the time we walked into this hotel everything was awesome. The staff immediately offered us cold warer. Sparkling or still? The staff was so polite and helpful. The room was so clean and comfortable. It smelled so fresh and clean. It was. A light breakfast of banana, yogurt, and juice was at the door every morning. Coffee & tea were included in the room. A refrigerator with fresh milk and bottled water. The hotel is in a great location. We highly recommend this hotel.

Posted 17-Aug-2016
First time in Amsterdam loved this hotel very friendly and welcoming. Appreciated the breakfast bag and free water and milk in the room little touches that make a big difference. We had a canal view Cosy room which was great not sure that the rooms without a view are that great.

Hip hotel close to main sights

Posted 9-Aug-2016
Pros: The service; the room; the style ; the location .
Cons: The room was sometimes made up very late in the day and the phone did not work very well .
Location: Located in the 'nine streets'; within walking distance of all the main sights
This is a lovely hotel; beautifully furnished with rooms that have canal views. The staff deliver courteous and considered service. No breakfast room - rather a healthy breakfast delivered to the room. Excellent location. Rooms are of different sizes so specify what you would like. Value for money

Wonderful hotel, friendly, helpful staff, superb

Posted 6-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything is so well appointed and thought out. Friendly atmosphere, amazing decor, superb staff and great ambience. Always loads going on.
Cons: I can't think of anything at present, really great place to stay.
Location: By the canal, close enough to walk in to the centre. Near all the tourist attractions associated with the city centre.
Chose this hotel for our Silver a Wedding Anniversary and really glad we did. Great location, close enough to walk to most attractions. The staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Very thoughtful touches such as breakfast being provided on a hook outside your room, at a time of your choosing, and even the bottle of water being provided upon arrival, really made a difference. Great reception area with a very laid back ambience, ideal for grabbing a coffee or grabbing a bite to eat. The room was beautifully laid out, with loads of great touches and the wet room was excellent, really well thought out. If you are looking for a place to stay, there can not be any places any better to stay. Outstanding place to stay in an amazing city.
