Cons:

Cons: Non smoking hotel but please tell smokers to step away from the entrance door.
Location: 10 mins walk to Dam centre. very quiet off the main road. Just step out into the canal region right on your doorstep, any closer you'd be wet!..

Pleasant hotel but bring your own alarm clock

Posted 13-Apr-2016
No correct/working clock in the room, so I asked for an 0630 wakeup call. WAS NOT WOKEN UP! Hotel staff said they tried to wake me but no reply. They were apologetic but this could have been a catastrophe: I could have missed a nonrefundable flight or been ill and in need of medical help. The late start wasted half a day of my short holiday, Manager says she has instructed staff to follow up on wakeuo calls to ensure this never happens again. Otherwise, the one-night stay was great. The staff were helpful, genuine, and well-informed. The location is good - between the Nine Streets and the Singel flower market. An ETOS/supermarket is close by. Bed superbly comfortable and toiletries were a pleasure to use. The snack bag continental breakfast (included) was dekicious and healthful. I would stay there again but bring my own clock!

Location was closer to the city than I thought!

Very funky hotel, great staff. I had a standard double room which was small, but it wasn't advertised as being large. It was gone for me, you're not there much anyway! Very, very cosy beds..

Lovely, clean and updated. Excellent staff.

I felt very comfortable at this hotel. It's very quiet, with a restaurant on site. It's a few blocks to the city center & Anne Frank house. The decor is modern and comfortable. The rooms are small, with large windows. My room was on the interior of the building and there was lots is light.

Excellent

Very stylish -- shabby chic mixed with industrial touches. Well located for main sights. Staff very friendly and helpful. Attracts a very trendy crowd into the bar and restaurant-- though food is perhaps not quite up to the same high standard as the hotel.

Amazing Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam

Posted 20-Mar-2016
Pros: Honestly, everything. Every, single, thing.
Cons: The room was small but we were informed about this in advance and were prepared :)
Location: Best location imaginable in Amsterdam. We walked everywhere! never used the Tram once.
Everything about our stay at the Hoxton Amsterdam was impeccable. The hotel is beautiful, with an eclectic design, and the rooms are perfect. We stayed in the cozy room which is very small (but they were very clear about that from the begining) but cozy as promised, with one of the comfiest beds I ever slept in. The breakfast bags are a super fun touch, it's great to have a small picnic on a bench overlooking a canal to start out your day. While the hotel and facilities are amazing, the best part about the Hoxton was its staff. They went above and beyond to help us with any question, and provided the best recommendations for things to do, see and eat. I can't wait to go back!

Posted 6-Mar-2016
Pros:
Cons:
