Basic, but had everything I needed plus great location, easy to walk everywhere. Toilet a little small and not much room, and a bit noisy at times but otherwise perfectly acceptable.

Beautiful newly renovated room. Quite centrally located! Very tight steep stairs to the rooms. For some reason no hot water in the shower in the morning.

Really great location, really convenient. Beware stairs are steep if you have big bags. Lovely rooms, nice clean and modern. Overall we had an excellent stay, would recommend.

The staff was wonderful, they answered all questions me and my boyfriend had! The room is super clean and the bed is comfy! My only complaint is the walls are paper thin and the stairs are a bit narrow considering people are traveling with baggage’s but a must stay hotel!

Great location, clean hotel, easy check in. However, we were in the basement room, down some very steep stairs. On entry to the room there were towels on the floor, and we woke up the next morning to the floor totally flooded. We were offered a refund for the first night, but after much back and forth, were not refunded the whole amount which is totally dishonest. The noise from people walking on the floor above us woke us up lots too.

Not a bad value for money in Amsterdam which is so expensive but the pictures are really over stated. Rooms are really small, little comfort and very noisy. Ours was literally on the avenue, on ground floor

We are very happy with this property. Our quad room was clean and comfortable. The location is also great, very near the tram station. Special mention to Emma, the front desk attendant. She was so helpful from the check-in until the check-out time.

Location of this hotel is excellent. Beds were comfortable and AC worked great. Our room had doors that opened to the patio which was really nice. Room is "hostel-like"- it has everything you need and it's not fancy or large. Fridge, plugs, AC, TP. We would absolutely stay here again for location and comfortable accommodations.

The rooms with street and canal views experience the noise of the nearby bars and street. This interferes with the night sleep for guests. Changing the windows to soundproof windows may be helpful.

this was a great place to stay if you want to be close to a almost everything!. We walked everywhere and felt safe. the Staff was amazing! They had no lift but the staff took our bags up and down the stairs for us. It was a great place to stay!

It was amazing! Celine was so amazing and so we’re the housekeepers. We had a great experience and on top of that the location was fantastic. It was close enough to everything where we did not need a taxi or metro anywhere. 10/10 would come again. room was clean and spacious

Staff are fabulous and very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a studio and it was a large room, modern and well appointed. Beds very comfortable. If we come to Amsterdam again, we will try to stay here.

This property is a perfect location to explore Amsterdam on foot. While rapid transportation is available, why not walk or bike if you can. Staff was charming and informative. The self checkin and checkout process allowed us to maximize our time in the city.

Great place to stay
We had a great stay here at freeland, it was clean and presented really nicely. Are room was a nice size and the complimentary robes and slippers where a brilliant touch. The staff where welcoming and friendly. The location was brilliant, short works to everything you could want and bike parking right outside. The only bad things i can say is there was a lingering smell in the hall downstairs but once in the room you couldnt smell it so not a major issue and the shared toilet was very compact and small but i guess its just the way it is in Amsterdam. I Would definitely stay again.

Good location; opposite tram stop. Friendly staff. My room was on the 3rd floor which meant 3 flights of very steep stairs. This was fine for me and I was offered help with my bags. This would be difficult with anyone with reduced mobility. Information and vending machines inside. My room was very clean and well maintained. There was A faint sewerage smell from the bathroom but everywhere was spotless. Tea and coffee facilities in the room/corridors. Some noise from the street below but not enough to keep me up. Overall, good room. Was everything I expected.

Great value
Great budget hotel in a good location. Tram outside but don't need it everything walkable. Staff really friendly. Booked 1 night ended up staying 3. Breakfast included. I will stay again.

Superb stay at Freeland Hotel
Our stay in Freeland Hotel was superb. Kor, person at the desk was very warm and accommodating. The place is very accessible to tourist destinations. I love thier breakfast, first time i experienced being asked whati want for breakfast and pancake can even be served how you want it.

The single room I had was big enough but with limited facilities. There was no wardrobe and storage space was limited to a small cupboard and a couple of bedside draws. Then bed itself was quite a narrow twin. The room light was dim and bedside lamp noisey. There was a small table and two chairs but nowhere for bad storage. The bathroom was small with a separate toilet. A kettle was provided for making hot beverages. Complimentary tea and freshly ground coffee with cookies were available in reception. The only access to upper levels was via narrow and steep stairs. A good full breakfast was available.

Property is very clean and staff friendly. Great location. Older property with steep stairs, (apparently common in Amsterdam) Great value for money, not paying for the Hilton or the Palazzo so do not expect it.
