Description The apartment is located on the 1st floor (equivalent to 2nd floor in the US) of a 19th century building. The apartment has two spacious rooms:. one has a queen size bed and opens to a beautiful balcony overlooking charming historical Amsterdam houses; one room faces a very quiet street with typical 17th century buildings, it has a comfortable daybed that converts to a queen bed (with regular mattress), dining table with 4 chairs, and TV. Newly renovated luxury bathroom and a laundry closet with washing machine. Drying rack is provided. Museums Some museums like the Anne Frank House or the Van Gogh Museum require advance reservation. L’appartement est situé idéalement assez loin du centre d’Amsterdam touristique et bruyant mais pas trop non plus avec les principaux lieux du centre accessible à pied et par les transports facilement. La déco est sobre mais agréable, les équipements sont de qualité. La douche mériterait cependant un coup de frais et le salon n’a pas de rideaux occultants donc lever matinal avec la lumière du soleil si vous dormez la. The nearest supermaket is only at 2 mn by foot, all the famous museums, good restaurant (indonesian, italian, french,...), Anne Franck House,... everything easy to access. Getting there and check-in instructions were clear. Washing machine and drying rack were available for laundry. You can't cook in the apartment which wasn't an issue for us but if you are planning on making stuff there is only a microwave. There is a Nespresso machine but you will need to pick up your own pods. The owner said there were a few in the pantry from the last guest but suggested we purchase more. I feel like this is something that should be provided to guests but that's just my personal opinion. The owners live directly upstairs so if that is an issue for you it's just something to note. We never even saw them and the building itself was quiet. Our son did mention noise at night from the street but not a huge issue. There is a door that separates the kitchen/living/extra bed area and the main bedroom so privacy isn't an issue if you have a teenager but there isn't a couch so if your hanging out you are sitting on their bed.Overall we had a great stay and would recommend this location but just wanted to add some additional notes if you are thinking about booking. ##### Jamie H. The neighborhood was charming with plenty of cafes and shops nearby. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant a few doors down was excellent, we ate there twice!Gabriela met us at the apartment and allowed us to check in early. She gave us a brief rundown on the apartment and the neighborhood, which was nice.The only minor downside was, the toilet room was a bit small, but it did not detract from our stay. It was close enough to everything that it was convenient. Had great shops, food, and a grocery store near. Close to the canal. It was far enough away from all of the really crazy tourist locations that it was calm. Nice to be able to sit on the deck and enjoy the calm and quiet of the back garden area. If you want to be in the middle of a touristy area, this isn’t for you. If you want some quiet and you want to feel private and calm- book now! A quick 10 minute walk to the Albert Cuyp Market, 20 to the museums and about the same to the Anne Frank house. We walked everywhere, but there was a tram stop nearby. We’d go explore. Come home for a bit, then head back out to explore some more. The apartment was clean. Had all the things you could need for comfort. Great that it had a washing machine. It was the last bit of our trip so we needed that. The quick conversation we had when we checked in was very helpful. The owners are very kind. I highly recommend.
