This is great location in a hip neighborhood. Accommodations are nice and clean.
Boutique Hotels are usually known for their attention to detail And personalized service. Unfortunately La Locanda doesn't have any of that, and should strip the Boutique from their name. Their services were terrible ! From arrival to departure it was a complete disappointment ! 1) once we arrived we asked for help with the luggage, the porter pick one bag from the car left it in the middle of the reception and never came back to pick the other bags from the car. Eventually i had to carry all my bags to my room in two rounds all by myself. 2) we came back from dinner and the room card key wasn't releasing the Elevator to go to our floor. The reception clerk tried to show me how to do it even though i had told him i inserted the card In all possible ways. Finally he admitted the card magnetic strip was damaged and rudely complained that i shouldn’t have kept the card close to my cellphone, and issue a new key. We asked the same guy to schedule a wake-up call for 7:30 because we had an early flight, and guess what ? He completely forgot about it. 3) At breakfast there wasn't any Waitress In the breakfast area, so we had to clean up the table from previous guests.
In essence, La Locanda claims to be the first boutique hotel in Amman, but they are certainly not the only one. There Are over 20 other boutique hotels in Amman, and will try every single one of them before returning to La Locanda.
