The lobby, parking lot and area around the hotel was immaculate. The bathroom tub was a little dated. The room was clean.
It would be nice if they cleaned the pool. The dirt ring around the pool was about 3” wide which tells means the just add water and the floor of the pool was slimy.

The rooms need updating, there was dried blood and holes in our bed sheets , there was a hole in the tub floor

There was hair on the dryer, coffee pot didnt work, found dead insect on the wall, pool to cold to swim in. Ive stayed here before this place has gone down hill since my last stay in November.

I found the motel to be very clean, staff was very nice, I would stay there again, I was stuck because of the weather. Only thing negative was no ice melt put out, very slippery.

The room was not updated and not clean, airconditoner was a wall unit that kept stopping and not working, and had to be reset. Could not see the temperature on the unit because it was an old unit.
Bathrooms were gross. Bathtubs dirty, spiders in tub and mold in the sink.

Very disappointed in this hotel. The beds were uncomfortable. The staff was uninterested in being helpful (couldn't be bothered to get me an additional shampoo. Just looked in two drawers behind the front desk and then said they didn't have any. Similar situation when asking for the apple juice dispenser to be refilled at breakfast). Our room had a dirty shower curtain and our friend's room had a dirty comforter...and a floor so slanted that the drawers to the dressers kept opening! The breakfast buffet was VERY limited. Lots of lovely hotels in Ames...I won't stay here again.

Checked into the hotel Friday evening with my son and check in was fast. The young lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful and explained everything to us. Our weekend stay was very relaxing and fun while staying there.

The room itself was nice. The staff was not very helpful and didn't seem to understand my requests. We could not get the TV set to work and they said they would send someone at the next staff change, at 10pm! Also, the breakfast area was super dirty and the coffee was "frozen" and couldn't be served. Breakfast started at 6 and at 9 the coffee was still frozen???

Dont expect a 4 star hotel for the price of a 2 star. This property is a little older, and doesnt have all the amenities of higher priced hotels. What it does have is clean comfortable rooms and friendly helpful staff. That's all we needed, and we were not disappointed.

This place is a crap hole. Theres nice hotels all around it and we got this one. The window ac sounds like a lawn mower running. Kids fighting in the pool. 3 guys standing outside the pool windows with 3 cases of beer. The sheets are dirty, had tobget cleen ones. Some kids just ran down the hall knocking on everyones door. Dont stay here

I talked with the motel about a first level room and was assured that was available. When we checked in, however, we were booked into a second floor room. No elevator. Not many cars in the parking lot so I’m not sure why my request wasn’t honored.

The room was not very clean. The shower curtain rod was broke so the current wouldn’t stay closed. The bathroom itself was dirty. Pubic hair on the toilet seat. The breakfast was not very good.

Hotel is outdated, parking lot is weird, staff wasn’t very warm and they were very difficult to hear at check-in. Drawer in one of the dressers wouldn’t stay closed. Just don’t expect anything too nice.

The staff was great. The property is old and needs physical updates. Bed was great. The worst part was the breakfast. Waffle mix was so watery the iron couldn't cook it. Came out completely mushy. Went straight in the garbage. Thankfully, there were prepackaged muffins.
