Just finished a fantastic week away in Ambleside. The property is in a great location. Short walk in to town, as well as only being a 15 minute walk to the ferry. Very modern inside with everything you need. Exactly what my wife, 2 year old son and I were looking for. Having a parking space in such a prime location is a major plus, however be warned the space is quite tight if you have a particularly large vehicle. We have a Nissan Qashqai which just fit. The property is situated very close to Ambleside, giving you the option to walk into the town to shop, eat or get information, but also a great central location to visit many places in the Lake District. The cleanliness of the property was great, beds comfortable and a nice layout of the main area. The only downsides are that there isn’t any outside areas (garden/bbq area), car parking is a little tight and the shower/wet room can get a little slippery. The cottage has been beautifully renovated to a really high standard. My only criticism really would be the road noise from the main bedroom - I think heavy curtains would help a great deal, instead of the current voiles, and would block out the light that comes in at the edges of the blind. The layout was very good with lots of nice touches like the under floor heating and night light in the bathroom. The kitchen was of a decent standard and well stocked. ##### Alec B. Very close to the centre of Ambleside and a gentle stroll to Lake Windermere, the location is great and the parking a bonus. We had a fantastic week and are sure to return.
