"Great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Bus 591, 555 stops just outside the hotel and can take you anywhere whether it’s Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick all very easy to commute. Some great restaurants around. Staff extremely friendly at the reception. Breakfast top notch - 10/10 for Manuel who takes orders at the brekkie area , always smiling. Would highly recommend. "
"Manager Helen was lovely and easy to talk to. Breakfast options for a B&B was tasty and catered for all. Room was spacious (superior room) and very comfortable bed. Good temperature and pressure in the shower too. Great location to walk ten mins to the lake or 5 mins to town. Will be back again."
"Amazing views of Esthwaite Water! The best cooked tomatoes at breakfast I’ve had anywhere in the UK. Gourmet breakfast and dinner. Lovely, helpful staff."
"Beautiful location on a lake, lovely grassed area with chairs & lounges on the terrace. Scrumptious continental and cooked breakfast. Had a peaceful lounge/bar where you could order food. Also a spa pool, sauna & steam room free for guests, paid treatments available. "
"Clean and tidy and within easy walking distance to the restaurant and bar (Lakeside). The staff were warm and friendly, prompt and professional whilst serving. Highly recommended to visitors. I woul recommend however that the aged or disabled go for Accomodation at the lakeside hotel as there is a 100 yard climb to the lake houses from the restaurant."

"Great location, really friendly staff - just super helpful and welcoming… made us feel right at home!
Only reason for not perfect score was quite a few spiders in the room - to be expected but would be an issue for some people"
