Upon check-in, it was immediately clear that the home had not been properly cleaned. Before we could even unpack, we spent approximately seven hours cleaning the property ourselves.The beds had not been made with clean sheets, so we had to strip all beds and wash the linens. I also had to purchase approximately 50 in cleaning supplies to make the home livable. I contacted the owner right away, provided photos, and asked if a cleaning service had been used. The owner stated she would reimburse the cleaning fee, but we have not received that reimbursement.In addition to cleanliness concerns, several maintenance issues were evident. Multiple lightbulbs were burned out, the master bedroom had no lamps, and the bathroom faucet aerator was so corroded that it sprayed water everywhere. My husband ultimately had to replace it himself. The bathroom drawers were unusable due to hair and debris inside them.While the location and potential of the home may be appealing, the lack of cleanliness and basic maintenance significantly impacted our experience.
