"Victor went above and beyond as our host. Before even checking into the house, he helped set up transportation, rental cars, and a restaurant reservation recommended by him. His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. Thanks to him, we also had a unique lunch experience at this tavern on our first full day in town. Would reccomend to anyone!"

"The accommodation was in a beautiful tranquil setting. We really felt that we had a relaxing break in Celerico de Basto. Lovely pool and even a little lake to row a boat on much to the delight of the children. The kitchen was a slightly strange set up but we soon got used to cooking on the BBQ . "Definitely one of the best places we have stayed. There is a train station to Porto less than three minutes' walk away. In addition to the many restaurants, there is a wonderful water park for children. A great deal of help was provided by our host (Bernardo) with directions as well as being very responsive."

"What an amazing stay! Our party of 9 had a wonderful time at the Stone House - and didn't want to leave. Our only regret was not visiting when the pool was open in summer - so we'll have to go back! The host and housekeeper were so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The house was immaculately clean, and so very beautiful. "The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. The host is quick to communicate and was a gracious host the five days we were there. Unobtrusive and but helpful. If you get that chance to stay here, do! You won't regret it."

"Licinia and her husband were wonderful hosts, easy to communicate with and resolving any issues promptly. The pool.ans outdoor area was great though the weather was bad during our stay so we didn't get to use it.. easy drive to Porto too! The only thing we found was the listing says spa pool and fitness centre which must be a mistake as there is not either of those available a this house."

"The pictures on Expedia and their website do not do justice to this place. It is a very impressive working winery and the rooms are well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent though service was mixed when it was busy. My only complaint is that the ‘smoking area’ for diners is close to the outdoor terrace and with the prevailing wind it meant that you could smell and taste the cigaretttes at that end of the terrace - not pleasant when you are not used to it. I heard a number of diners complain about it. (Please move the smoking area, as it would make a very good experience perfect!) I would also recommend the walks around the vineyards that are described in the information booklet - though the red route is very steep up, the views are worth it."
