Great value for outstanding view
Grateful for this spacious and comfortable, lakeside accommodation with an outstanding view of Lake Quinault. We loved sitting on the deck watching waterfowl, especially loons at dawn. The main bedroom (double-size bed, but only 1 bedside table and lamp), bathroom, and washer/dryer combo unit were clean and well-maintained. Modern AC controls provided great relief from heat outside. The kitchen appeared clean at first, but needs deep cleaning and some repairs. Décor and furnishings are sturdy, but dated. The property has a modest grassy lawn edged with mature trees, overgrown bushes, many insects, and wild blackberries. I couldn’t find a path to the lake, but immediately west of the property is a boat ramp that provides excellent access. Bring swim shoes to protect your feet from the fist-sized, rough, slippery rocks. I didn’t see any water toys or rescue equipment for guests. So bring your own and assume your own risks. Limited accessibility: guests must use stairs to access the living areas. Not ideally furnished for children under 5. John David provided good communications, easy check-in, off-street parking, and speedy wi-fi. As long as the price for renting the house is comparable to the cost of staying at the Lake Quinault Lodge, we would recommend the property and would return if we are ever in the area again.

We loved our stay here. Beautiful home with all the amenities. When you walk in, the lake view is breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the parks in the area as well. The beds were very comfortable and house was very clean. The owner was super kind and we had easy communication with him. It was the perfect place to stay and if we come back this way we will book here again.

Great view, nice leave
Property is nice, great view and private grounds with fire pit. The Diana was nice, good hot water. Some of the windows are old and don’t open well, the kitchen is nice but some cookware was sad and dirty from sitting too long. I would stay here again. If you’re looking for a quiet place to base your adventure from this is it.

Beautiful Lake and mountain views
Great house with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. Well set up house with all the amenities. The bald eagle that flew by from time to time made it even better. Moonlight reflections across the lake was also a plus. Near a couple of small grocery stores and several dining options from fancy to plain are another plus. We loved it and would rent again if in the area.

Perfect place to visit ONP
We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was clean and the view on the lake was amazing. The location is perfect to see some of the southern spots of ONP, which there are not a lot of great options for folks to stay close to this area. We are so thankful we could stay here and have a comfortable place to rest. We ate dinner at the lodge, and that was fun to have close by. The host was helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful Location- house needs a little TLC
The location of this house was great to explore the Olympic National Park, and the lake views were stunning. The house itself could use some care to get a 5 star review. Upon walking in, it looked like the cleaning crew left half way through the job. There were used cleaning supplies out, dirty floors and cobwebs on the walls, dirty linens on the beds. I swept the whole porch before sitting and removed multiple spider webs. The host was communicative and took steps to remedy the situation, which we were thankful for. Also a lot of spaces were locked off, which felt strange as guests. I completely understand areas being closed off to guests, but this felt a bit unwelcoming. I would suggest designating one area as "off limits" to reduce this feeling. In general this home felt like staying at your grandma's house who is too elderly to clean anymore and doesn't really trust you. But I think these are all easy fixes for future guests.

Stay here for the beautiful lake view
It's all about location. The view of Lake Quinault from the house and the lakeside deck is phenomenal. That's why you'll want to stay here. Plus the relatively easy proximity to hiking in the national park and walking on ocean beaches. The house itself is pretty much average, with the addition of a sauna and a massage chair. It's all about the view though.

Lakeside relaxation
We enjoyed dining on the deck overlooking the lake, convenient access to the beach and a backyard fire pit. Some of us used the sauna and massage chair. There is plenty to do in the Lake Quinault area and the ocean is an easy drive. Wildlife seen from the deck: loons, river otters and a bald eagle. We brought our own card table for a jigsaw puzzle. We shared dishwashing responsibilities so lack of dishwasher didn’t bother us. Wonderful spot!

A great beach front house on Olympics mountain lake
This house has an amazing view and lake front deck that is private even though it is in the middle of a few houses. The beach was great for swimming and throwing rocks, the deck great for eating and reading and there are a lot of activities around the lake. Limited nearby viable grocery stores or restaurants so food requires planning. And the house is small for 7 people if it is rainy. We would come back to this house.

A little bit of heaven
I originally booked this house for family of the bride to stay during an intimate small wedding up the road. Due to boarder restrictions most family could not attend. Because of the location I kept my reservation even though it ended up being just my husband and myself. I was so happy I did. This house is private clean and right on the lake! The home features beautiful wall to wall windows that look out to the lake and the mountains on the other side! Simply breathtaking! The house is well laid out and open concept perfect for families or entertaining! The beds where comphy! Very welcoming home. I wish I would of booked a few more days here! It is peaceful and relaxing! My only hint I would advise if arriving after dark have GPS. It is dark and you are in the forest, it was a bit tricky to find... But well worth the trip.! Everything you need you will find here and more! You will find peace and a welcoming atmosphere of serenity! My fav VRBO stay!
