A fantastic place out of the way
This is a special place, not for you if you like the mountain as a place for an aperitif and shopping. or if you don't go by car. It is well off the beaten track, up a twisting mountain road. If you are OK with that, you will find fantastic views, starry nights, walks with no one else just outside the front door, a speck house (local traditional smoked ham) and smell of fields and hay. The ladies managing the guest house are really nice and welcoming and prepare a most wonderful breakfast: home made bread and cakes, fresh jams, etc. The accommodation is simple but really spacious (we stayed in the apartments next door), with very comfortable beds and soft duvets. The hotel in nearby Onies (2km away) is the nearest restaurant, but it is not a long drive to St Lorenzo or San Vigilio.

Geen Gasthof voor op doorreis
Een gasthof in de bergen (smalle weg er naar toe) Moesten lang wachten bij inchecken; bovenste verdieping, duurde lang voordat er wat warm water uit de kraan kwam; konden 's avonds alleen kopje koffie krijgen; ontbijt was lekker. Geen aanrader hier te overnachten als je op doorreis bent; lange file om weer op autobaan te komen.

A parte la notevole difficoltà a raggiungere l'hotel specie con strade innevate e la distanza eccessiva dai centri più vicini accentuata dal fatto che si viaggia su strade di montagna a bassa velocità la dimensione del bagno è lillipuziana, manca il bidet e è estremamente difficoltoso lavarsi e usare i servizi. La colazione è appena sufficiente.

Per la mia esperienza un po difficile da raggiungere nel periodo invernale, ma si viene ampiamente ripagati dalla posizione e dal panorama . L'accoglienza è stata calorosa.

L' albergo più difficile da trovare
Pro: esclusivamente il panorama Contro: iniziamo dalla strada,per arrivare in albergo dove ben due navigatori ( garmin e Google) non riescono a trovarlo e segnaletica stradale inesistente si deve scalare la montagna arrivando in quota 1200 metri circa dove gli ultimi quattro chilometri da fare sono su una strada di montagna molto stretta con la speranza che nessuno venga dalla parte opposta. La camera posta in mansarda molto piccola per non parlare delle condizioni del bagno, colazione è inesistente, il parcheggio totalmente al buio , e pieno di cacche di cani, tanto che dovevamo utilizzare il cellulare per raggiungere l'ingresso. Consigliamo di correggere le indicazioni specificando le reali distanze chilometriche dei paesi limitrofi ben diverse da quelle indicate ed evidenziando la difficoltà per raggiungere la struttura.
