"Excellent location, close to facilities and beach."
Excellent refurbishment of general areas in recent years, Staff highly competent and most helpful on all occasions. Bedroom sheets and towels changed very regularly. Our bedroom was very comfortable but was one of those awaiting refurbishment.

"Nice but needs improvement!"
Our review is mixed due to the condition of the room and policies of the hotel. We were pleased with the location, grounds were beautiful. Restaurants were fine. However we were not happy with the room condition and the unbending policies of the hotel. Towel service is not provided, nor is cleaning service. We could live with that. One little bottle of shampoo and body wash for 2 people for a 5 night stay! We could not believe that they would not provide additional bottles and shampoo when asked. Policy is you get one of each and no exceptions made. Really! 4 star hotel? We asked for 1 more little bottle of each. Room needs an update(old and tired looking, fridge had rust at the hinges) and it had ants in it. Small little ones but not what you expect in your room. Also we got twin beds which were pushed together to make a double. Come on. Each had their own bed sheets and covers. That is not a double and should not be called that unless you take people for fools. If you are a golfer it is a fantastic place. But you need the other amenities too. Apparently when we mentioned the problems at check out, we were told that some other rooms had been updated recently. Would never stay in the same room again. Irony is that we would go back if we got one of the newer updated rooms because it really is a nice location. Don't want to sound like a whiner but the points that were disappointing are pretty standard in the hotel rooms we have stayed in.

"Simply wonderful"
Firstly just to reassure anyone, we are a normal couple, liking lovely food and hotels , are not made of money and wanted to treat ourselves and boy did we hit the jackpot here. We just had a 3 day break at The Conrad and cannot recommend it high enough. It was a beautiful hotel, fab rooms, lovely facilities and the most importantly the staff were friendly, attentive from the moment we arrived offering cool drinks at check in , to arranging reservations at a local restaurant ( thank you Jose) including arranging the taxi ( chauffeur driven Mercedes more like). As it was out of season some of the restaurants and the pool service were closed but that wasn't an issue as there are so many restaurants just a short ride away. Opposite the hotel are 2 small shopping centres- one very high end brands and a few places to eat, the other being much more in line with our pocket including a small supermarket. I would recommend a trip to this supermarket just to stock up on a few bits and pieces as my only critism of the hotel was that the drinks were quite expensive but that is what you expect from a fabulous hotel. Top tip is the buffet breakfast......served until 11am with wonderful food meant you didn't need anything else all day. So my advice is it and enjoy !

"Great Resort for everyone!"
The 8 of us had a great holiday, 4 adults and children from 13 to 18. This is a large resort with many facilities for all tastes and ages. There are plenty of restaurants onsite, a few good ones, just off-site too down on the beach. The Praca is the main hub on the beach which like all facilities can be accessed easily with the site autobus which we used several times a day to go to the tennis academy, the golf course, the club house, the beech, and the supermarket. There are some watersports down on the beech, and plenty of beds if needed, the stretch of beach is superb and perfect for all those who do enjoy all that a beech offers. The facilities were in the main excellent, although pools were probably only ok. We used the tennis academy one mostly, as it wasn't too busy and meant we could play panel, tennis or go to the gym onsite we never used the main one at Breeze in the Praca, as although it was far larger, it was short of beds and not as impressive as the rest of the resort. I would throughly recommend it! I generally struggle on resorts as the facilities never seem to occupy me for as long as 10 days, however, I feel I could have managed a full two weeks quite easily. We were going to hire a car, however, the resort bus, got us around efficiently. Prices in the restaurants were reasonable, but definitely not cheap, and there was a nightclub, but can't comment as we were too chilled to give it a go. I would thoroughly recommend it!

"Great hotel with self catering"
This is a great hotel at a super location in Quinta do Lago. About a mile from the beach and with a self-contained kitchen area. If you're staying for a week or so this gives you a great option to make a simple lunch and dinner. Rooms are large and well appointed. We've stayed at many resorts in the area and this is the best we've stayed at. Planning to return for 2 weeks in 2016.

"Nice but bit quiet "
We arrived on the Saturday and didn't know that no one would be in reception that day, however the security guard had our app key and details. App was nice and large, clean and well equipped kitchen. The bed was seriously the most uncomfortable one I have ever slept on & gave me a weeks worth of restless nights and a bad back. The tiled floors needed a good scrub and the sunbed cushions also needed cleaning. The resort gym was well equipped but also needed a Hoover, pool looked lovely but with a layer of brown scum around the edges, again needed a good scrub. The pool bar area there was no one around to serve. Tennis courts good, but the tennis rackets they lent we're broken or bent ! The restaurant Tucanos we never tried as it was empty all week. I think that for the £798 for the week it was too expensive as it was late in the season the pool is freezing cold and no service around pool. The place had zero atmosphere.

"Wonderful holiday!"
Lovely villa - 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, outdoor space with 4 sun beds and tables, all spotlessly clean, with maid service every day. The villas have everything you need - washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher etc. All towels are provided, even beach towels. There are both indoor and outdoor pools with plenty of sun beds. The food in the restaurant is excellent as is the food in the bar. The staff are very professional and will go that extra mile for you (e.g. the receptionist managed to get the Waterpark bus detoured so that we could get on it at the main gate instead of several miles up the road!) There is a fantastic beach and nature reserve very close by and this is accessed by a free bus which the resort operates several times a day. The transfer time is short (around half an hour). There is plenty to do within the site itself - my 11 and 12 year old boys played football, table tennis, table football - we ran out of time to have a go at the tennis and the crazy golf across the road. All in all, a relaxing holiday only 2 and a half hours away from London - 23/24 degrees over the half term - away from the main tourist haunts and with an authentic feel - wish we had booked for longer!
