The home is about 5 miles North of Fairplay and 25 miles South of Breckenridge (times may vary with road conditions in the winter). The views of the mountains and surrounding woods are magnificent. The home is about 40 miles from Buena Vista which is a popular destination for ATVing and rafting. Moose Haven has 3 bedrooms. The master suite which is located on the main level, is magnificent. It has a queen size bed, custom log furnishings, an entertainment center with a large flat screen TV, and a study. There is also an en suite bathroom. The bed has luxurious new linens and lots of storage room in the dresser. A second bedroom is located on the main level which also has a queen size bed and pine furnishings. There is another bathroom on this level as well for guests staying in this room to use. The third bedroom is on the lower level. This room also has a luxurious queen size bed with gorgeous new furniture. All of the bedrooms are tastefully decorated in mountain decor. There is a full size bath on this level as well. All of the bedrooms have linens and towels and the beds will be made upon your arrival. The living room is a large open room with a cozy wood burning fireplace that has stone from the floor to the ceiling. There is a large leather sofa and a big comfy easy chair to provide lots of comfortable seating for your entire group. The entire wall is floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views. The ceilings are vaulted with two story windows providing magnificent views from the living room, kitchen and dining room. You will just want to sit and enjoy the views of the white-capped mountains! Lots of books and videos are provided for your enjoyment. There is a large flat screen TV and a DVD player to watch your favorite movies. Satellite Programming is provided as well as wireless internet access. There are flat screen televisions in the living room, downstairs game room, and all the bedrooms. The home has a full size kitchen with everything you will need to cook your favorite meals. It is open to the large dining area and the living room so you can chat with your friends and family while enjoying cooking. The dining table seats 8 people. All necessary cooking utensils and dishes are provided. There is a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. There is a recreation / billiards room on the lower level with a new full-size pool table (pool is limited to adults only please). This room also has new furnishings including a comfortable sofa bed and lots of chairs for the group to watch the big pool tournament. There is also a flat screen television with Satellite programming. There is a brand new hot tub which is out in the open so that you can enjoy the magnificent views of the mountains and forest. You can rotate between the hot tub and the warm cozy fire pit on the deck. The deck boast both a gas grill and smoker. There is truly something for everyone at this home! It is surrounded by pine and spruce trees. You can hike around the property or take a leisurely walk up Mosquito Pass Road which offers different views. The area has so much to offer in the way of activities. In the summer, there is horseback riding right down highway 9 at the Platte River Ranch. They have 2 hour rides, half day rides, and dinner rides. It is a great place for the family to go and ride through the forest and mountain meadows. They give you a true old West experience. There is fishing very near the property. There are several spots and parks near the home where you can fish. There are great ATV trails near the home too. If you are fortunate enough to come in the winter, there is world class skiing and boarding at Breckenridge, Keystone, and A-Basin. Breckenridge is a 25 mile drive from the home. Breckenridge has fabulous shopping and restaurants too. DISCLOSURES \* This home is located in the Central Rockies at approx. 10,472 ft. elevation. Overall, great stay! Greg was amazing at communicating with us. The check in and out process was smooth and efficient. Great location with few to no neighbors. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet and we had to wash everything before use, but I think they were in the dishwasher and then put up without being inspected. But there are things we were very unhappy with. We stayed M-F morning, we couldn’t get the grill to stay lit, beds were very uncomfortable and hard. Found Cobb webs through the house and the fridge/freezer wasn’t working. Our groceries/food went bad we bought to have or if we had leftovers from eating we couldn’t keep in fridge. The freezer wouldn’t freeze. We were there M-F sent someone out Thursday to work on fridge but did no good since we left next morning. So I was out $100 of groceries that went bad and never got accommodated for since their fridge was bad. We sat in the hot tub while two moose were grazing 100 feet away for an hour. Earlier that day, the same moose cow and calf (presumably) and a male with a huge set of antlers had been in the same spot. Super quiet and peaceful. Communication and interaction with property managers was excellent. Road was fine for two-wheel drive in early October. We did have a little snow one day. Aspens were glorious. Plenty of cookware, dishes, etc. Our boys loved the billiard table. Nice walking nearby if you don't want to hike the mountains and just relax instead. ##### Johannes G. Lots of wildlife stopped by to say hi like a couple of moose, birds, etc. Only about 10 minutes from town in case you need to grab anything quick from the grocery store too. Accessible to the beautiful Colorado area. Just a few items to note that we wished we knew before renting: We had no phone service. Texting was limited and the only way to reach the property management company was through email. It was great to be disconnected but phone service was expected. The environment is amazing so much that lots of mice wanted to enjoy the house too! We caught 6 throughout our stay. The management company was responsive to providing more traps but sharing our food with mice on the kitchen counters or having them run across the fireplace hearth while we played games at night was not expected or enjoyable. The property is gorgeous. We had moose and deer in the yard multiple times. The hot tub is clean and well kept. We loved using it every day. The only consideration is the cover is difficult to manage and store while in use. We like to take care of others property and the lack of space to store the cover was a repeat consideration and concern. ##### Jill S. It was remote and gave plenty of privacy, but it was close enough to 14-er hiking and towns for food and shopping. We saw a moose near the property, which was very cool.
