Traditional Spanish
The whole of the Costa Blanca has grown tremendously – the number of high rise-hotels and apartments has reshaped the coastline. This family-owned-and-run hotel is a touch of the traditional Costa Blanca. In our opinion it was better to stay just outside Calpe rather than in the town and this hotel was ideal. There was no air conditioning which posed me (personally) some problems. We had a powerful fan but we had to keep the balcony door open and this led to a few mosquito bites. Having said that, I am particularly prone to mosquito bites so don’t read too much into this criticism. The family was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a great pool and relaxation area and the style of the whole hotel is very Spanish. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and these were adequate. No English on TV.

We went climbing near Marryvillie, good location living here. Room was ok with a nice view. Excpet breakfast was too simple for 10EURO.

Thank you for your coment. Continental breakfast is 5 eur. per person and you can have all the coffee and toast as you want. Maybe you expected a buffet but the price could'nt be that low. We hope to see you some other time. Best Regards!

We checked in. She told us about breakfast and extended the hours for us late risers. The room was clean and had a balcony view of the beach. Beds were firm and just needed the fan to circulate the air. They even had a pool. Calpe is a small town with a wonderful beach and many dining options n shopping.

I booked this as an overnight as I had a spare day due to change in plans and fancied a night out in Calpe. The hotel is literally on the N332, the main road North/South. There is ample free parking at the front of the hotel. The Staff are friendly and welcoming, language is no barrier. Rooms have no air conditioning, no problem for me but might be for others. The rooms are a bit tired and lack the soft touches to make them more welcoming, but bear in mind the star rating and price. Breakfast consists of toast and jam, no meats or cheeses or anything else. My main problem is it's location; there is nowhere else adjacent to the hotel to go for a drink. If you want to walk to Calpe you have a choice, either across some waste ground and then through an urbanisation with barking dogs at every gate, or for about 100 metres in the "cycle lane" /hard shoulder alongside the N332 and then in either case another 10 minutes walk down to the town. If you just want to stay in the hotel, or drive to town and back or get a taxi, it's no problem, but if you like to go for a walk, then this is not for you.

Simple, no thrills, comfortable. Had dinner in the restaurant, salad was excellent, Calamares very disappointing. Nice pool, dog friendly hotel.

I'll do - inexpensive - but no A/C
Blah - old hotel, not upgraded and no air conditioning which made the night uncomfortable as we either opened the balcony door and exposed ourselves to bugs and burglars or sweated the evening away. However, the wifi speed was adequate. Elderly gentleman who worked the night shift was kind and helpful, but the morning gal was rude and inconsiderate.

Estuvimos dos días en este hotel y solo podemos decir que volveríamos! La piscina coqueta, las habitaciones muy agradables y sobre todo el personal, estupendo. Nos ayudaron con algunas costillas, nos informaron muy bien de todo, muy amables. Se esta como en casa!

Gunstiger Aufenthalt mit toller Aussicht!
Wir haben den aufenthalt seh genossen. Zentrale Lage mit schönem blick. Toller Garten. Die Zimmer sollten einmal renoviert werden und eventuell mit einer Klimaanlage versehen werden. Freundliches Personal. Sauber!

NE MERITE PAS SES 2 ETOILES !!
Cet hôtel ne mérite pas du tout ses 2 étoiles. Nous avons dû réclamer des serviettes de toilettes, des gobelets, dans la salle de bain, il y avait le minimum..... La ventilation de la salle de bain, n'était pas installée, les fils pendaient sur le mur (j'ai pris des photos !) le petit déjeuner au minimum par rapport aux autres hôtels...... Les rideaux de la chambre n'occultaient pas complètement et la fenêtre ne fermait pas bien.. Seul point agréable, la vue et le patron, agréable et parlant le français... mais pas de choix pour le repas, un menu et que du congelé. Je ne le conseillerai à personne.

Motel cutre de carretera
Hotel viejisimo, la limpieza bastante pobre, cama incomoda y hemos salido picoteados no se si de mosquitos, pulgas o quien sabe. No se lo recomendaria a nadie y menos por el precio que cuesta.

Es un hotel modesto pero bien mantenido. Las instalaciones se notan que tienen años pero estan muy bien cuidadas. El mobiliario de las habitaciones esta renovado y bien cuidado. Por otro lado, la atención por parte del personal es muy buena.

Una mala experiencia con este hotel, la calidad es justo lo que se puede esperar, mientras que el precio es el de un hotel que doblase o triplicase su calidad. Está lejos, por lo que hay que usar transporte para todo. Mi pareja salió de él con una picadura de pulga. Lo bueno que tiene es que los trabajadores te tratan bien.

El servicio fue muy bueno, la chica y el señor que nos atendieron fueron muy muy amables y disponibles. El desayuno también nos ha gustado mucho y la ubicación muy bien. Teníamos alquilado un coche y en cinco minutos estábamos en la playa y en el paseo marítimo. La habitación estaba bastante bien, con ventilador, mantas y cojines de sobra. Lo único un poco malo fue la cama que era de una plaza y media, no muy grande. La terraza de la habitacion tambien estaba muy bonita!Pero en general bien

Das Hotel ist etwas (ca. 20 Gehminuten zum Strand) außerhalb, jedoch stechen Freundlichkeit und "nicht" Hotelbunker eindeutig heraus. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen.

Hotel Rocinante à Calpe : gentillesse et familial
Un petit défaut, le soleil qui entre dans les chambres protégées uniquement par des doubles rideaux trop léger et y fait monter rapidement la chaleur. mais pour tout le reste, que des louanges : une gentillesse rare de l'accueil : - Des petits déjeuners où l'on peut redemander, sans gonfler la note, - des bouteilles d'eau gratuites, - toujours un petit geste pour nous faire sentir que nous ne sommes pas uniquement des clients mais aussi des hôtes, plutôt rare dans un pays où tout se paie. - des clients toujours prêts à échanger nous le recommandons vivement
