Large hotel chain. Front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast area somewhat depressing. Lovely pool, regrettably not open in March.

Rooms were simple and nice, apart from the bathroom that had many black hairs sprinkled around it throughout my stay (before and after cleaning). I put a do not disturb/clean sign on the door after my moisturiser went missing. Evening 'entertainment' included live bands in the evening until 11:30pm, and the walls are paper thin so you get a private concert! Food in the cafe was very average and expensive with not great vegetarian options, but the hotel breakfast was good. Staff overall were really friendly and nice.

Very welcoming
The staff were lovely they really made us welcome and tried their best to speak in English as we done really speak Spanish. The resort itself was clean and tidy there were a couple of little things missed that would of made it 10/10 but nevertheless a lovely place out of the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Waste of time
Booked in March , trip cancelled due to Covid 19. This hotel said to me theyd not charge me due to the circunstamces .hotels .com informed me they wont refund me. Yes it was a non refundable rate,but youd think given flights cancelled and the hotel closed up until a week before theyd use common sense.alas no.

Given that my stay was only a few days and at the exact period of the Spanish Goverments preparations for 'lock down' on the community, the hotel and the staff did very well. I hope to return again in the future, if only to say thank you.

Hotel,staff,cleanliness very good Food ie snacks pool side also very good .did not use main restaurant as were mainly three/ four course meals which being small eaters we though we would leave more than we ate.very large pool with ample sun beds .very quite this time of year .the hotel caters mainly for golfers as a golf course completely surrounds the hotel . You definitely need a car or some sort of transport .hotel does provide some shuttle buses to local beaches at a cost of 10 euros each which is a lot cheaper than local taxis. No atmosphere in evenings at this time of year. Overall fantastic hotel ,friendly staff spotlessly clean ,but just too far away from local amenities. Ideal if you are a golfer.

Another trip to Bonalba
Been to this hotel many times it’s nice for a relaxing break. Prefer it in the winter months as can be noisy in the summer with families. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my fiance. It is set in a lovely area, the pool is large and very nice with plenty of space for sun loungers. Another thing that striked me about the hotel was that the clientele ranged from families, couples, to groups of friends and it felt like we were all in the right place so you can go here for any type of trip. It's not too far from the airport which was handy. Furthermore the staff are very helpful, we had a personal issue which the staff went above and beyond to help us resolve. Definitely recommend this place.

Horrible service
Had big issues checking in and got met by staff that was to no help. Had to park 5-10 minuts walk away from the hotel. Checking out was same difficulties. Tried to double charge me for the room when I payed through the hotels app. Noice level at dinner/breakfast was insane! Have traveled alot and this is one of the worst experiences ever.

Very dated Property
The room was very dated it had many places where the plaster was chipped the bedspread was all there was no luggage rack and the view was terrible. I think that says it all I did not like the hotel

Bon Alba Golf Hotel

Had no choice but to hire a car. No transport links nowhere near anywhere. The larger in the hotel was vile. What entertainment there was was only on for about 45 minutes and not in English. The food was cold and mostly unrecognised. The music played in the background was depressing. In general the holiday people looked sad and fed up. Like me !! Bad management this could be a beautiful hotel

OK Hotel with no kids
Arrived at midnight went to room and it smelt sweaty and stale but we stayed in it that night. Next morning went to reception and staff swapped our room with huffs and puffs, next room nice. But cracked mug next to kettle which I asked to be changed, it was, but the next day after room service the mug was back. Staff not helpful or friendly......it seemed everything was too much trouble and not helpful, didn't make us feel welcomed..

Lovely Hotel, Nice Big Pool
Loved the Pool and just the nice clean look of the hotel. A bit far from the central of Alicante, therefore have enough cash for cabs (€30 one way) but all in all loved my holiday and the stay in Bonalba.

In the middle of no where
Some staff were lovely, especially in the dining area. However reception was quite rude at times. I was not given the room I booked and told two different versions as to why this was. The hotel is really geared up for Spanish people, entertainment starts at 11pm, pool parties with drunk parents & teenagers till 1.45am. Rooms were ok, carpets filthy.

Great Facility for Families
The hotel was well kept and swimming facilities are great. As we picked croissant at breakfast we inquired the kind of oil that is being used and found out that lard was being used instead of corn or canola oil. Since we eat Halal it was shock that a 4 star hotel using lard for their food preparation. Four star hotel used butter or corn oil for Croissant preparation and i would request that the Hotel management should look into this since a lot of Muslim do not eat port or pork based food.

Nice hotel
Stayed here for 4 days we asked for a double but got 2 singles asked for a late checkout was told it was fully booked had a meal on the first night wasn't impressed still waiting on my glass of wine but have to say the breakfast was fantastic check in was really slow had to wait for 3 hours before our room was ready and although other hotel was nice I wouldn't rush back

We also would like to say you sorry if they did not serve a glass of wine in the meal, I would have liked that you let this one know in the reception, for sure a responsable on duty would have talk to you. Concerning the check-in we have to let you know that because the high occupancy we had to give the rooms between 12:00 and 16:00 which is the normal time for the check-in. If our guest arrive in the morning and the room is not really we always offer a cortesy room and I hope they offered you. Sorry for all this troubles and hope you change your mind and visit us again. Nice hotel far away from the beach
We had a great holiday at Bonalba Hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful, lovely experience, but the only problem is that the hotel is a bit far from the beach and you definetly need a car.

Nice hotel, VERY remote area
The hotel itself is nice enough. Breakfast nice and reasonable price. We did ask reception about local spots of interest but little info received, we feel as a ploy to keep us at the hotel spending money.

GOLF HOTEL
hotel was a long way from any where taxi had to be taken to get around not cheap. Food was very disappointing. Hotel is used for lots of private parties and they seem to be top priority, meaning the restaurant was closed at lunch time's and one evening. Carmen (waitress) was very good to us informing us on what was happening where the management should of been putting notices up informing the guests. We did not get the twin room we had booked. Expedia recommended this hotel but they did not give me any information about destination and locality which If they had of done I would not of selected this hotel.

We would like to let know to future guest that we have a transfer which go to the city every morning for only 10 euros per person both ways. Family trip. Very good value!
The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. The food isn't great, we took half board but would do B&B next time. This is a quiet location so if you're looking for night life go somewhere else. Really handy for golf, we would return for a short break.
