"Spacious apartment, close to marina and beach"
Fantastic stay. Apartment extremely spacious, full of everything you would need and more. Staff very helpful and very responsive. Obviously very popular as resort was busy but could get loungers as long as you weren't up too late. Very nice that you have access to all the Hilton resort amenities. Complimentary shuttle bus to marina and beach meant no need to hire car which again was a nice touch

"Great location right on by the beach "
Our recent stay at the hotel was great. Not a five star hotel but by far a super hotel with kids in tow. It definitely is set up to ensure parents enjoy it as equally as the kids do. Our three year old was a joy during the week - mainly because there was so much for her to do. Food in the restaurants could certainly be improved - other reviewers comment on it not being value for money and this is definitely accurate, but there are lots of great little restaurants in Sagres so you are no forced to eat at the resort. All in all I would most definitely return and would highly recommend for families.

"Perfect for children"
The issue with the rooms were the set air-conditioning temperature. Apparently (may be for cost issues) the room temperature on the air-con system was set on 25 degrees, which in summer is not a pleasant temperature; though this was denied by the management. But we checked two different rooms and it was the same story. you could set your preferable temperatures on all the three thermostats but with no effect. All three rooms temperature never gone below 25 degrees... The rest were perfect.

"Wish we could go back (again)"
2nd holiday here and was worried it wouldn't be s good as last year, but it was even better. We stayed half-board and was disappointed that no drinks were included on the evening menu this year, but the quality of the food made up for it. The themed buffet nights were fantastic and the fine dining meals were exceptional this year. They have half price drinks up to 8.30pm every day, so having to pay for drinks wasn't too expensive for hotel prices. The swimming pools are brilliant for the kids, two pools are shallow enough for them and there's a large 'adult' pool if you want to swim rather than play. The whole complex is incredibly clean and well maintained. Would like to return in the future, but might be out of our price range due to the exchange rate.

"Lovely resort"
Lovely resort, had a 2 bedroom villa, self catering, rooms are very spacious and well furnished, very clean, stayed for a week , pools were close to the villa, staff were very helpful. We rented a car, and so was able to go out every evening , the supermarket nearby helped, it would be nice if there was some sort of entertainment in the evenings,

"Ria Park Hotel - Not Garden Hotel"
On arrival I was dropped at Main Ria Park Hotel then had to be driven to Garden Hotel only to be transported back to Main Hotel due to Nike Event due to be held at Garden Hotel. Initially concerned as I had specifically requested a quiet,Garden Room but was pleasantly surprised by the standard of room allocated to me by Sarah on reception. Despite being at the front of the hotel & 4th floor, I did have palm trees etc. to look at from my balcony.

"Great place"
Brilliant stay, the resort is lovely and fantastic for families. It is relaxed and quiet at night, and in reach of lots of great restaurants, beaches and days out. The onsite restaurant is nice but pricey, and the onsite supermarket is very expensive. We loved our stay here and are planning to go back!

The Lake Resort

"Perfect location"
Lovely hotel , courteous and friendly staff , the lake resort feels cocooned on its own little island yet only 10 mins walk to marina or beach , generally quiet at night except for music from beach/ nightclub nearby , but not intrusive. Breakfast great, plenty of choice and Zanibar & Fusion offer alternative menus for snacks or evening meals. Happy to recommend, no pretensions here , the better of all hotels in vicinity mainly for its location

"very chilled out hotel perfect for family breaks"
i booked this hotel only 12 hours hour before hand due to last minute change in plans. I had stayed at the Hilton Vilamoura only 3 weeks before hand and i really did make the right choice not going back there. its glorious hotel. lovely beds all around the pool areas. and unlike Hilton there are always beds though I do think they should stop people putting towels on the bed.... at 8:30 in the morning most of beds have towels on them... so i had to get up very early to secure a space ;) the staff our wonderful. The gym is also very good. We stayed in a junior suite which meant free use of the coffee machines and also private dining looking out over the golf course. Rui and his team looked after us and our 4 year old . Anna the manager for Customer experience was also a gem and everyone make our holiday a true success. we will be back either late in the year or next summer. It was a magical week.

"4* maximum"
The hotel should be rated as a 4* maximum. It is tired and the rooms need refurbishment and renewing. The staff seem tired too and service seems low on the list (for any problem you have, you should tell them at least two times until they solve it). Hotel is well located for walking to the marina or to the promenade of Portimão. Good restaurants with excellent food and a lot of small shops in the joining roads. The rooms without sea-view have no place where you can dry your swimming suits or towels, because they have no balcony. Breakfast is nice, good choice of food which is continually stocked. Clearing of tables is quick and staff are polite. But there are too many waiters in the restaurant – I once counted 13 – and when they have nothing to do, they start talking each other. The pool is nice. Cold initially but in the heat this is lovely. Not pleased that people placing towels before breakfast and not returning to the bed for hours; if a rule exists, it should be imposed properly. Great sea view from the pool and from many of the sunbed areas. The restaurant near the pool has also good food at reasonable prices. Overall we had an amazing trip and the hotel was good, although we would not say it is a 5 star hotel by any standards.
