Rain for most of early part of the week excluded use of the pool but it looked good, only marred by leaves and debris from nearby trees. Groundsman/pool guy worked every day regardless of weather keeping all areas neat and tidy. Pool pump not used for most of week (? fault) so build up of debris made the pool uninviting. However.... Mozzies! Probably due to surrounding trees, grass and field with goats and chickens next door. Several nearby supermarkets including Aldi. Purchased a plug-in mozzie killer and no further problems within the apartment. Kitchen reasonably equipped with good size fridge and microwave, however NO OVEN! No pizzas or grill facility! Plenty of hot water at all times of the day. Went to visit several restaurants listed in local guides and recommended by friends, but found most were closed! Maybe out of season (visited early April). Apartment recommended for a fairly quiet stay with spectacular views to the north from well kept mature gardens.
I am sure I booked a 2nd floor sea view balcony room, but was allocated a 7th floor balcony room facing the adjoining Jupiter hotel and the only view of the sea was if you stood to the end of the balcony,I was not pleased about this as we went on this holiday to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary
We stayed in one of the two bedroom duplex apartments. When you read big, these are very large and spread over two floors. Very large lounge and well equipped kitchen. Two very good size bed rooms and an enormous bathroom. The two areas linked by a wonderful marble staircase
Breakfast is available and is very good value for the price. Although advertised as continental we had an English style breakfast with egg, bacon, sausage etc.
The staff were friendly even though we were there late in the season Half Term
The pool area is very clean and a nice sun trap. We did have to ask for more sun beds to be put out, but staff arranged this fairly quickly.
Lovely hotel away from Carvorio but only 6 euro taxi ride to center of town. We went B&B only as the food in the town is excellent and much better than hotel food. Great Italian down the road 5 mins walk.
Rooms are excellent and have everything you need. Rooms are 5 star. However, rest of the hotel is 3 star. Buts that's ok because you pay 3 star prices. Many reviews on here want 5 star for peanuts. I went to this hotel 6 years ago when it was new and it was 5star then. It's tired now but the price has not increased in fact it's cheaper. Fair play
I had a great time. Fabio the bar man is great
