The owners had swept the decor to reflect the fall season, and we loved it very much. It inspired us to include grilled apples and cinnamon with all of our home cooked meals. There were even fall flavored coffees available for the Keurig! The trip was just the two of us celebrating our anniversary - we brought a boat on trailer with road bikes. There was more than enough parking for our truck and trailer. We used the rowboat one evening and it was lovely. From this location, we rode biked a big circle trail around torch lake, another day around Lake. Charlevoix and another ride up to Petoskey and back. It was fantastic! The location was perfect. It was super quiet and so peaceful in the morning to wake up and see the water.The size was just right for the two of us, and we used the extra bedroom as our sort of walk-in closet and gear storage.I would recommend this cabin/cottage to everyone! The bathtub had a large crack in the bottom. There should be grab bars to prevent falling. We did not sleep in the main bedroom because there is no way to use a CPAP machine because the dresser is at the foot of the bed. For most people this would not be an issue.
