Close enough to civilisation but not in the thick of it. A 2 min walk to the sea where we snorkelled and sun bathed every day. When we arrived the house was beyond our expectations. It was clean with all mod cons and our wonderful host made sure we had some essentials (milk, bread, butter, coffee) and also left us a huge bowl of fresh fruit which lasted much of the week. On arrival we were given a tour of the property, the fridge and cupboards were full of essentials to get settled in. Maria went out of her way to pick up another cot and delivered it that very night for us. The property was very clean and has everything you need for a great stay. The pool was perfect for the two little ones, although we couldn’t stay in it for too long as it was a bit chilly for the 4 month old. Location was great, walking distance to two lovely restaurants. Maria was a great host who was there when we arrived and had stocked the fridge for us so we didn't have to dash out after a day of travelling. The area is quiet and just a short walk (5mins) from the coast where there are a few restaurants and a SPAR shop. At the end of the road, La Terazza is an upmarket restaurant with fabulous sea views, delicious food, excellent service and it is reasonably priced. Maria and her husband go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a wonderful holiday. We have had the privilege to stay in some wonderful places all over the world but none have been as generously equipped as this one. Every room was immaculately clean, as was the pool. The kitchen has everything one could desire from a salad drier to an ice cream scoop. As well as the fridge/freezer there is plenty of cupboard space for dry goods. There is also a utility room and a double garage. In addition to the two bedroom balconies, there is a roof terrace. Beach towels are provided and there are beach chairs and buckets and spades. On arrival there is enough food in the fridge to see you through at least to the next day plus all the basics. Needless to say, our family of three generations had a fabulous holiday. ##### Susan B. Arrival slightly unusual due my being admitted to hospital early on day we were due to arrive. Maria arranged to stay late to ensure the rest of family were settled in. The excellent A/C and fans helped keep the villa comfortable despite the soaring temperature. Everyone was very pleased with all the facilities and especially when Maria cooked them a traditional meal one evening. Excellent villa wonderful host, what more can you say. We were a group of 8 friends and we stayed for a week. Maria stocked the fridge and pantry for us and that cold beer after checkin on a Sunday evening was much appreciated. The house is located in a quiet area but only 5 minutes walk down the road to the Spar, Beach, walking path and a few restaurants. From there it is easy to visit Alcudia old town and port, Pollenca (lovely restaurants and options for private or public boat cruises ) and Formentor (a must visit). We made good use of the gas barbecue and the pool and loungers and the air conditioning worked like a charm in all the bedrooms and living spaces. The fridge was stocked for our first morning after arriving late. There was a plethora of beach umbrellas, chairs, picnic box, ice blocks and snorkelling equipment. A gym, fully equipped kitchen, immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms. The balconies afford views of the island coastline and sparkling seas. Fresh lemons grow on the trees and perfect veranda and pool set in the lovely garden. Five minutes from a shop, quiet restaurants and the sea front. The location in Alcanada not only offers breathtaking views of the sea but also a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere that made our vacation perfect. We had a lovely stay at Maria’s place. We were a group of 4 adults and 4 children. Maria had kindly left some groceries in the fridge for our arrival which was very kind. The villa was very well equipped and clean. Beds were also comfortable and the air conditioning very effective which was very good as it was extremely hot when we were there and even a dip in the pool didn’t help as the sun had warmed up the pool water! The pool is also saline treated and not chlorinated. Maria and her husband were very helpful and easy to make contact with and very responsive. The location is very nice but a little quiet. The beach is a short walk but this is not a sandy beach. There are also only a couple of restaurants and bars. The Spar shop is very close (5 minutes walk) but you do need to be able to get to a supermarket if you want to self-cater and so we hired a car which was quite expensive. However, there is a great basement garage at the property so very easy to park. We would definitely come back as we had a great time!. ##### Emily I.
